This is how you do a proper remake of a game! This game first release back in I believe 1997 for the original PlayStation system. And although we had games such as mario, Sonic and others. This game easily found itself being one of if not the best game ever made! The game has been completely overhauled from the ground up utilizing today's new graphic engines and technology. The story is as engaging as it was when the original game first released if not even more. The visuals are out of this world, and a combat is pure genius. This game is definitely on my list along with one other as game of the year. There are some things in the game that may alienate long time fans of the series. But one must keep an open mind that as times change, people and different things have to change with them . Things may not always be the same however as long as you stay true to the heart of the story, gameplay, characters, Canon etc whatever you do or make will not disappoint. And this game is the epitome of that statement. If you have not played final fantasy or are interested in a series this is a must buy! Pick this game up enjoy the visuals, the story, the combat and most of all the music! Many people play this game and the number one compliment that this game has received was the music. I highly recommend.

I wasn’t sure what to expect other than stunning graphics when it came to this game especially after reading that it was only up to a certain point of the story but honestly I was blown away by how great the Final Fantasy 7 Remake really is. There is so much more character development and story than the original while still staying true to everything the original stood for. Graphics are stunning and the battle system is great. Overall I totally recommend this and I think the special edition is worth the extra money.

Final fantasy 7 left it's mark on the gaming industry back in 1997. The game was ahead of it's time. Only held back by the technical limitations of the time. Fast forward to 2020. This is a masterpiece, and one of my favorite games in forever. This is the way I envisioned Midgar. The reactions and interactions between characters are captivating. The music is of the highest quality. The scenery is beautiful. The combat is fun and engaging. The menu is great, the menus! I've waited forever for this remake to be announced. I've waited long years for this. Patient as they gave us bits and pieces of information. I thought it would be impossible to live up to the marvel that was the original. Well I'm glad to say. Square enix has delivered a phenomenal experience. More than I could've ever imagined. That's coming from a final fantasy 7 lover. Best $80 I've ever spent! Eagerly waiting part 2.

Finally Final Fantasy 7 Remake is released. The combat is fun, though it takes some getting used to. The sound and graphics are superb. The story (so far) is excellent. This game is a must-buy in my opinion.

I've put in just a little over 12 hours on the game and so far I've enjoyed every minute of it! If you played FFVII back in the PS1 days, the nostalgia on this remake is over the roof! There's just so many things that you'll recognize in the game and I'm loving it! When I heard that the battle system won't be turn based like the original, I was a little bummed out. But after getting the hang of the new battle system, it's actually great! Square Enix did not disappoint and the wait was all worth it! Can't wait for the other parts to come out already so I can travel all over Gaia! I wonder if I'll need a black Chocobo to travel to the Round Island, hmm..

I've waited a long 15 years ever since the first ff7 demo was shown for PS3. It was well worth the money and wait. The way there graphics are portrayed are just how I'd imagine them to be. The graphics are stunning. The music is PHENOMENAL.It is filled with nostalgia, while also introducing new elements to the story. The gameplay is light years beyond beyond. You are able to have different builds for the characters and it's so much fun to have a different play style. If you're new to the Final Fantasy series, this is a must buy. If you've played the original this is A MUST BUY

Yes, this remake improves the story and it improves gameplay (which is crazy because the original was already great). So, you really owe it to yourself, to Cloud, and to your past self to own this. Just get it. Not only does this improve on the original it does it while staying true to the original. It has yet to trample or destroy any part of the original that I hold dear. FF7 Remake is respectful of the original but also bold in its new angle of storytelling. It's the same game but then it is a whole new experience. This. This is how remakes should be done.

For the most part, the game was wonderful. I'm 90 hours in and still haven't finished it 100%. SquareEnix said before that it would be released in parts, which I was skeptical of first. However even it is just a part of the full story, they fleshed this out very well. Only con which has been brought up is some texture issues, which I believe is an unreal engine problem. But the game overall is beautiful.

I played this game non-stop for a week until I beat it. It’d be hard to ask for a better remake. It’s not “perfect” but I still give my experience with the game 5/5. Play it, and you’ll understand just how awesome both the story and gameplay really are. The deluxe edition comes with a few cool extras as well. Definitely recommend.

Amazing, great for those new to FFVII and the diehard fans alike. For those new to the story it's the quintessential FF story. For those returning after 23 years to an old favorite, you'll be hooked back in very quickly. The battle system keeps things fresh while holding to just enough of the old ways. There is tons of nostalgia but so much fresh material. They fleshed out characters and zones that severely needed it. The expansion of the first 6 hours in the original was beautifully done, no regrets in my purchase, and so much excitement to finish the last 1/4 of the game. It's amazing.

This game completely overhauls EVERYTHING you know about the original Final Fantasy 7. From the gameplay to the music, everything is fresh and updated for 2020 gaming.

Final Fantasy VII (the original) has been the epidimy of my childhood since 1997. I remember waking up Christmas morning and never stopped playing to this day. I have literally waited my whole life for this Remake. And let me tell ya, it has been worth the 22 year wait. Final Fantasy VII Remake is not only graphically beautiful and refreshingly retold. But it will amaze you just like it has me every step of the way. A must buy, for even the most casual of gamers. 10/10

Final Fantasy VII Remake is a fantastic game. Beautiful gameplay, graphics and story. Easily a great game for veteran and beginner Final Fantasy players.

As a huge fan of the original, I never thought this remake would ever happen, but here we are 23 years later and to me pleasant surprise they absolutely did it justice! One of the best looking games on PS4 or any console, if not the best looking!! dream come true from the good ol’ polygon PS1 days. Not only does it look amazing, it plays great as well! 100% recommended it! Only thing to keep in mind is that it’s part 1 of the story, but since they added so much content to this and it takes a long time to beat, I’m not complaining.

This game greatly expands on the Midgar section of the original game, and introduces gorgeous graphics and amazing combat.

The game itself is a technical and gameplay marvel, and I honestly can’t recommend it enough. Smooth satisfying gameplay rounds out amazing characters and a beautiful story. No, my problem lies in the extras. Luckily Im just a regular Joe who happens to like deluxe edition items, but I can imagine either Best Buy or Square is being hounded with angry customers getting Art Books with heavily worn edges. (also please ignore the nickname i DID buy this, i named myself that reviewing a fan i never purchased that was in my list of purchases that still has not been removed)

I never got into this franchise when I was a kid but remember a lot if my friends loved it. With this amazing remake the graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is solid and smooth. I'm glad I gave this game a shot and this Deluxe edition is how all Deluxe editions should be because the stuff included is actually worth the money. I'm super satisfied with this game and cant wait for the next part.

Let me just say, by far the most anticipated and beautiful game of 2020. Absolutely stunning graphics and the game play is still enjoyable for those of us who are used to the original's turn-based battle system. For all final fantasy fans, this is a great buy. The nostalgia is fantastic.

I still stop and just can't believe how cool this game can be at times. Backgrounds can be blah, but character models are really nice. Really get the ffxlll vibe too with linear hallways. No random battles this time, just sections where you can see the enemies. My main complaint is simply not entirely turn based option in settings. Old school. Not standard but needs to be an option bc too much Kingdom Hearts in the gameplay. The extras in the deluxe are really nice, glad I got it, since hard to find. Highly recommend for RPG fans.

At the time of writing this, I'm not done with the game, but I can say it's definitely worth the purchase. The Deluxe version has some nice goodies that I don't see so much from other Deluxe versions, so this is a plus for me as a collector. The game itself is worth the experience and time put into it.
