Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within 3 months of purchase, the bake element, while set at 275 F, began sparking; then caught on fire. Fortunately, my wife was in the kitchen and immediately shut the oven off. Since it was under the manufacturers warranty, we were able to get a Frigidaire repair tech out yesterday, 11/5/19. He was a very nice gentleman but he only replaced the aforesaid bake element. He installed it and monitored it for 15 minutes on 450 F. Even though it appeared to be resolved, I expressed my concerns to him that the problem may be originating elsewhere. I explained that I have never experienced a brand new range element catching on fire. He graciously indicated that the part was simply faulty from the factory. Later on that night, it proved to be more than just the element. My wife was baking with the oven set at 400 F. After 35 minutes, the infamous "F 10" error code displayed, indicating runaway temperature. This is apparently caused by a temperature sensor or control panel problem. Since the oven was hot, I shut the power off at the breaker box for 15 minutes; then turned it back on. Once again the F 10 code appeared. We called Frigidaire customer service this morning. The company will be sending another tech out to fully assess the appliance on 11/15/19. Clearly, this should have been completed before anything else. I am greatly concerned with this troublesome oven causing a fire in our home. Accordingly, I am kindly requesting that the good people at Frigidaire replace this range with another.

Horrible product and service

And the oven and digital board to stop working just outside the manufacturer warranty. And now im being charged a fee. For a defective product. I finally said , I’ll buy one somewhere else. The product may have been ok . Either the warehouse is not taking time to make sure the product is handled properly or the product was made cheaply and dented easily. 1 the stop of stove was dented by the knobs 2 the sides were squeezed and dented on each side. 3 the top of stove was loose where the top met the base of of the stove . Gaps around the top.

Every time I cook more bubbling and cracking appears. I can only imagine how unattractive the glass top will look after only three or four months of use. For this reason alone I would not recommend this Frigidaire stove to anyone. Unfortunately I was out of town and did not use it the first time until after the return period had expired. Shame on you Frigidaire, and BestBuy too for selling it.

My Big, Bad Stove Experience

The oven and display quit working afyer 1 year and 5 months (5 months after the warranty expired). I was offered a 3 year extended warranty when i called Frigidaire. No thank you! This is my 2nd Frigidaire stove. I will never buy another Frigidaire product again.

Handle is poorly made and has come off which makes it impossible to get back on and have it not come off again due to the screws stripping the plastic.

The stove was not put together correctly- it had no trim, big gaps where metal was supposed to be joined, and a door that did not close. It was delivered...and hauled back without ever being hooked up..

Prior to using your cooktop for the first time, apply a ceramic cooktop cleaning cream (available in most hardware, grocery, and department stores) to the ceramic surface. Clean and buff with a clean paper towel. This will make cleaning easier when soiled from cooking. Cooktop cleaning creams leave a protective finish on the glass to help prevent scratches and abrasions. We hope this helps with cleaning. ~ Anna
