    Quietest dishwasher ever!

We were recently faced with having to replace our 15 year old dishwasher. With everyone in the family working, having a dishwasher is absolutely necessary. We looked around, did our online comparisons regarding price, function, look and product/company reliability. We ultimately settled on this Frigidaire 24'' Built-in Dishwasher! We have had it in use for a couple of weeks now and felt we had to share our experience. The installation went so smoothly! The unit popped right in to the old dishwasher’s space without any alterations or adjustments needed, something we had worried about. Once we figured out how to get it running, the dishwasher performed beautifully. This unit requires that the door be open while you make your wash selections (it took a bit of experimenting to figure that out). This model is stainless steel and has a very sleek and clean look to it and the unit itself is very ruggedly built. The door and body are very solid, which is probably why it is so amazingly quiet when in operation! Our old dishwasher used to drown out all conversation but this unit was so quiet, we weren’t even sure it was running at first. We love the space and layout of the three racks, one of which is the top tray for those awkwardly large utensils (like spatulas, salad spoons, etc.). This option is great because you don’t have to take up dish space for them leaving you more room for the really important things to be washed. The two lower trays hold a large amount of dishes, pans and glasses. It also delivers a very powerful cleaning! There is no need to pre-rinse any of the dishes as this unit has a “surge” option that really packs a punch when it comes to cleaning heavily soiled dishes. There are a couple of things that we think could be better. Even though the unit is very sturdy, we found the dish racks, which are a very lightweight plastic, to be flimsy feeling. The silverware tray, which is removable in case you need more space for dishes, does not do a very good job of separating the silverware and the shorter utensils can get wedged in the side openings of the tray (see picture). One last issue is with the drying feature. It does not get the dishes as dry as we had hoped even while using the "Heat" option. Overall we really like it and highly recommend it!

Good dishwasher, seems to be working well. Install was a little work, I needed to make the opening bigger by a quarter inch. Need to purchase elbow fitting for the water line and new electrical cord for the power supply.

Best Buy installation of this product was horrific. First time the installer came it took him 2.5 hours and he charged us $45 for an adapter only for the dishwasher to not work when he was done. Then he came back over 2 weeks later to install a new machine. This time he installed it so it hit my countertop every time it opens or closes and is crooked. He damaged the countertops in the process. Then we tried to use it and it leaked. We had issues with the refrigerator too and ended up deciding to return everything to deal with a local company that would actually provide decent service.

We bought this to match our new gallery refrigerator and range to replace our whirlpool gold kitchen appliances that were aging and just didn’t fit in with our ongoing kitchen remodel. This is the absolute quietest dishwasher. Not only that, but I love the display that gives us so much information about what is currently going on during the wash. The stainless steel is smudge resistant, could almost say smudge proof! Connecting water supply and electric couldn’t have been easier, and the front leveling feet took all the hassle out of getting it sitting perfect! If I had one thing to complain about, it’s the racks and how lightweight they are, sometimes making the bottom rack come out too far or off track. Other than that, this is definitely a 5 star machine!

I was hesitant to buy this because it was so darned expensive but it is very very quiet and has changed my thoughts on what a dishwasher is supposed to do. I guess I have always had junk dishwashers because I fully wash all my dishes before putting in and then run a cycle. Well when I bought this one I wanted to run it with some disinfectant because I didn't know how clean the hands were that put it together but I also wanted to see what it could do, so I put in a lasagna pyrex man with stuck on cheese and gunk. It looked brand new coming out. Shiny...no film whatsoever. Def worth it. It is also shockingly quiet and it has much more space inside compared to my old dishwasher that fit in the same hole...reminds me of the House of Leaves...larger on the inside than the outside.

    Regularly clogged jets

Cleans great, quiet and clean design. After only a couple of months though the jets started giving off this internal, loud, hissing sound. I was told it's calcium buildup and I know we had some heavy calcium water where we lived, but it was supposed to be easy to correct. I tried the machine detergent cycles, vinegar, jet clean, it would work briefly but then eventually always return. Maybe the jets are super tiny to force a higher PSI on the wash? I'm not sure but it got old hearing that noise in an open floorplan where the kitchen is the same room as where you watch TV.

I love my new dishwasher. It’s very easy to use and it cleans great and it’s very quiet. I originally wanted the one with the third shelf for utensils but it was not available so had to get the one with two trays and it’s working out fine. The utensil holder is large enough to hold everything I use

I never expected to be this delighted over a dishwasher purchase! Our old dishwasher was loud enough that you had to turn up the TV in the next room; this one is so quiet that I often cannot tell that it's running. (If I'm not sure if my husband started it, I will lay a hand against the front to see if it's warm). The adjustable racks make it so versatile too. I actually take it as a personal challenge to see how much I can fit in there. ;) It takes awhile to run a full cycle with a heated dry, but everything (except Tupperware that flips) comes out dry and spotless. Even the stainless interior has remained spotless after a couple of months. Controls are easy to use and I love the "favorite cycle" feature.

This dishwasher looks great and does an excellent job cleaning the dishes. It replaced an older GE Profile model, which was solidly built, but the dishes rarely came out clean. I was tired of rewashing. The only reason I am giving this one 4 stars is because of the racks. They are bit wobbly when extending and retracting them, almost like they aren't the right size for this unit. I do like the fact that the height of the top rack can be adjusted, and there is good space for large items on the bottom rack. Not sure if it's my plates and bowls (Fiesta ware), but I also find it difficult to get the dishes to stand evenly, and there aren't good spots on the bottom rack for the bowls. I end up having to put them on the top rack, which reduces the space for glasses. It might just be the shape and size of these dishes, but it is difficult to efficiently load it.

We purchased this dishwasher because ours died. This dishwasher was the happy medium choice budget wise for us so we decided to go with it. It’s such a quiet dishwasher that I’ve opened mid cycle because I thought it was off. I also love how well the dishwasher cleans my dishes! I have no complaints there. The only downside is I feel the heat dry doesn’t work as well as it could. It’s gets a majority of the water off but you definitely need to wipe off some water here and there. Overall, I love the dishwasher and am happy with it

Satisfied with dishwasher. Especially like smudge proof stainless steel—this feature is actually pretty effective. Nice and quiet and washes well. Dishes don’t dry uniformly and spots visible on dishes post dry cycle. Control board a little daunting—need to read instructions for clarity

This is the 3rd dishwasher I've purchased within the last 4 years. The other two never cleaned well; and I would eventually end up washing by hand, even after running a couple of wash cycles at times. The last dishwasher I bought was a Whirlpool which lasted until 1 month after the warranty expired. So, I was really concerned about getting it right this time, and I definitely did! This dishwasher does an amazing job! The dishes come out sparkling clean every time, with no second cycles or having to hand wash. I don't even rinse dishes before loading, unless they are just really dirty. It's also very quiet; the first couple of times I used it, I'd sometimes wonder if it was running. I'd definitely buy this again, we are extremely happy with the purchase!

We bought this dishwasher because we wanted it to match our refrigerator (same finish & handle) It cleans well & is quiet. Unfortunately it doesn't dry very well & bottom rack is designed for only flat dishes (not cereal bowls). Also, once you set & start the wash type, the number on the digital timer disappears -- so you can't check to see how much time is left -- you just have to wait until finished.

Hey Motherof3, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I would recommend using a rinse aid if you are not using one already. I would also check that your water heater is set at 120°F (49°C) to get proper water temperature inside the dishwasher. Also, check the incoming water temperature to be sure it is not less than 120°F (49°C) at the sink closest to the dishwasher. You may want to double check the way you are loading your dishes; avoid nesting items. Water can accumulate when the items are too close together. Cups, glasses, and bowls with a concave (recessed) bottom will collect water. Plastic items may need to be towel dried. This is because plastic does not retain heat, resulting in poor water evaporation from the item. This is common for all dishwashers. When the upper rack is pulled out first residual water left in the spray arm can drip down on the dishes. Pull out the lower rack first. Hope this helps! Frigidaire

Great productwith quiet wash cycles. Nice touch with the blue light on the floor when running and the green light when it is finished. Glad to have the stainless steel tub since my last one was plastic that lost it's finish and began to have a mildew problem.

This unit is a tank. There is almost no room under this dishwaster for water and electric hookup. The left side has a 1 1/2 inch channel for water and the right side has a 1 1/2 inch channel for electric. I had to do some extra work because of that but the unit is very quiet and solid.

The dishwasher is good and I would purchase again but...probably not from Best Buy. I had planned on a less expensive model but sales person offered free installation on a better model. Unfortunately even though I was sure to inform them that this was a totally new installation, and assured it was totally included...the install cost another $350 after the sale. Since this was a Christmas gift for my daughter I had no choice. Shame on you Best Buy.
