    Ignore the review that complains that this is not an SSD. It never claimed to be an SSD. BUT this IS a great, rugged, 7200 rpm (spinning physical hard drive), 1TB, USB 3.0 portable drive that I connect and disconnect multiple times a day from my mobile music computer. This thing is a beast and is going strong 2 years after purchase. Do note that, according to the G-Tech web site, larger capacities of this product (2 TB +) have a 5400 rpm drive. That's still fine for storage and not recording direct-to-disk.
