This stainless steel GE 12 Cup Food Processor looks great and has 4 suction cups on the bottom to keep it from moving around on the countertop. They release easily when you pick it up to move it. Bowl latches firmly onto base since it only fits one way. Same with the lid. There are no useful instructions included just a 12 page booklet explaining how to assemble the various parts that are inconsistently named so you have to determine that the "Work Bowl" is also known as "The Processing Chamber". Two slicing and reversible shredding discs but no explanation of which is which, just a picture on the back of the box. Medium shredding has more holes than fine shredding. You can only use one at a time on the stem adapter and they are super sharp so pick them up carefully. There is also a Chopping/Mixing/Dough blade that does not use the stem adapter, it only fits on the accessory adapter built into the bottom of the Processing Chamber. Functions page covers how to prepare various food items like removing pits and seeds and what can be done to them with the blades . Food is placed into the Chute in the lid and pushed down using the Plunger. I tried slicing cleaned celery stalks, apple pieces and cheese blocks using Pulse. Fast and easy in one run. Shredding Romaine lettuce rolled into stalks and placed in the feeding tube takes one pass using LOW. Shredding cheese blocks and baby carrots take repeated passes through the chute using the plunger until you achieve the desired size and texture. Always unplug the machine before emptying the work bowl into another container to reload the chute. If parts are not latched correctly it won't run. Good safety feature.
Since the instructions are limited to various items on the Functions page the best way to learn is by testing foods using various discs and speeds. Cleaning is easy as most parts just need a rinse between foods except cheese. A bottle brush is the safest way to clean the discs after shredding cheese. You can also use it to scrub out the work bowl. The tube inside the plunger can be removed for washing, too. All parts are top rack dishwasher safe once you are done using your food processor for the day.

As someone who meal preps for a 5 day work week, the GE food processor absolutely destroys the time it takes to prep. It makes it so easy and quick. Solid build quality as expected from GE.
Stylish and large! Up to 12 (slightly less for overflow and lid) cups of just about anything you want chop up to puree can be tossed into it. Turned about 5 large whole tomatoes into a puree in just under a minute for my pasta dishes. Comes with multiple blade attachments to use with 3 different speed/setting, Low, High and Pulse. Made quick work of all veggies thrown at it, Celery, Cucumbers, Lettuce etc.
I love the fact that there are suction feet on the bottom to prevent accidental slips and possible falls to the floor if unsupervised. Holds up really well. Easy assembly and easier to clean up.
Highly recommend to anyone who is in the market for a food processor.

Great helper at the kitchen

Nicely built machine with wide stable base and easily removable bowl + attachments. It comes with chopping attachment and 2 combo disks - each disk can be used as slicing or grinding (1st disk is coarse, 2nd disk is fine) depending on which side disk is mounted on top. Interlock system is easy to deal with and feed hole in the top cover is wide enough to stick 1/2 of onion thru! Compared to my previous food processor - it's safe to put food in the bowl even if the chopping attachment is not yet installed (bowl is watertight with no attachment). 2 speeds and pulse mode make pretty much any job easy (550W motor). Overall - it's a great kitchen helper that won't mind grinding up nuts or chopping onions for you. Bowl and attachments are dishwasher safe, bowl can be put into the fridge and it stays watertight even if it's removed from the motor base. One thing I wish GE thought thru is attachment storage - those cutting disks are sharp and no way to store them securely somewhere...

This is one of the new line of small appliances introduced since GE Appliances became part or Haier.
It has a rather large bowl compared to other food processors we used before.
The bowl is sealed, with only a small attachments port on the center. It does not have the large column in the center like many other food processors, making it easier to clean and no spills.
The base is even wider than the bowl. The bowl has a lip on its base that covers where it meets the base, to cover potential spills.
Instead of rubber feet, it has four small suction cups, so the base that although is large but lightweight, stays firmly put in place.
There is a single knob with pulse mode to the left and two speeds to the right. That's it. Doesn't get simpler than this.
It comes with a chopping blade, which is very sharp, and two slicing disks.
The slicing disks are all metal, with a slicing blade on one side, and flipping it has two sections of shredding cutouts. One disk is for thin slices/shredding and the other for medium. The disks are about 1 inch or so shorter than the bowl.
The motor, although light, is rated for 550W, which is plenty.
It seems well built with a pleasing stainless steel cladding on the base.
Also I like that the piece that pushes the food through the slicer/shredder has two parts inside one another; so for example, leaving the wider part in as a cover it can be feed a carrot through the smaller opening slicing it straight.
It's easy to clean and very simple to use. We're happy with this appliance.

Pretty standard food processor with two reversible discs for slicing and shredding and a chopping blade. It made quick work of the food I threw into it with some minor concerns.
They advertise a 12 cup jar over and over, but 10 cups is the max as the last 2 cups worth of space is where the lid is inserted into the jar. It’s more so an overflow area if you happen to have that much material in there. The feed tube and pusher are a bit odd, it is big enough to handle a small block of cheese and a small cucumber. However just a bit too narrow to handle a typical cucumber and the plunger has this small insert that will pop out as you try to push in. The insert on the plunger is good for smaller thinner objects, say a carrot, so it has an edge to lean on. But, it could use a little bit of a lip or something to lock it in place so it doesn’t slide out so easily making it pop out in your hand on certain items.
There are two speeds, fast and really fast which means if you want consistency of slice you need to be ready to push that food in there. The speeds and pulse work really well for the chopping blade. It did have a bit of a struggle whipping up some frozen banana chunks though. The deep well of the center pieces also leaves a bit of concern for cleaning.
I’m not saying this is a bad food processor, as it does what I expect. Just feels like a generic appliance that could use some different design choices.

I already own a small food chopper to cut up an occasional onion, but I did not have a way to slice a lot of carrots or cucumbers so I figured I would give this a try.
I was more interested in using this to slice up vegetables using the slicing disks than using the chopper part. I included a picture of a cucumber processed through this device (see photo). I really liked the suction cups on the bottom to keep in unit in place which in operation.
I would recommend this for anyone looking for a high-volume chopper and slicer. I understand that this kitchen tool has many different purposes and I can wait to see what else I can use this for.

The large capacity of this processer is fantastic. I also love that it comes clean easily. My favorite thing, though, is that the center spindle is not a huge thing - allows for more room and way easier to clean than my old one with a center plastic permanent pedestal for the blades. We've only used this a few times so far, but it is a very nice improvement over my 20-year-old one.

I ordered the food processor from Best Buy and the product proved to be very good, one of the best kitchen appliances we had. It can cut or shred the veggies very small and it has a decent cup capacity, very suited to preparing a family meal. The product is fairly silent too. I endorse wholly this product.

This is the first time I've had a food processor. It works great for some applications such as slicing vegetables and mixing certain doughs. It sliced carrots EXTREMELY quickly - that was great, but I would like to have had them a little thicker. It comes with a fine and medium blade - don't know if can get a bigger blade but I will research.
The pros include: decent quality, extremely powerful, easy to clean, comes with 3 different blades, easy to operate, 3-speeds (including pulse).
Suggestions for improvement: would be nice to have an even larger opening to slice tomatoes and larger vegetables (I understand safety concerns); would be great to be able to store all the blades and adapters inside the unit (they almost fit); and would be nice to have a recipe book or examples of what all you can do with a food processor.
Overall, however, this is a great addition to my kitchen and I will find plenty of uses for it.

Overall I am very happy with the unit. Looks great, relatively quiet, with quality look and feel. Solid performance. Easy to clean, no tough to reach spots. Recommended.
Presentation.
The base stainless steel side presents itself very well. The plastic see through work container and all the parts do not look nor feel cheap. There is no wobbliness of the parts, all fits in right at the first time. The base suction cups work perfectly, the unit feel attached to the counter, at the same time it is relatively easy to move the unit if needed.
The S-blade when inserted does not click in, you just put it in and that’s it. The top cover has an opening at the center where the top of the S-blade assembly goes it, making the whole setup very stable. It is easy to put the cover on and lock it. The main chute (through which you put the ingredients in) is oval in shape, medium in size (2 inches by 2 3/4 inch). In addition inside the pusher there is another removable smaller chute inside, round in shape for smaller vegetables, like carrots. The pusher itself does not lock in in place, it fell out of the cover as I removed the cover and put it on its side. The power cable is of a decent length, should work for most locations. There is no dedicated side container for loose parts (two cutting/ shredding blades and the blade rod).
How it performs.
For starters I used the S-blade to make some Tahini (cream of sesame seeds). The end result was liquid Tahini, the unit performed puréeing it very well, there was no need to add any oil to help the mass liquify. While working on speed 2 the unit was significantly quieter than the food processor I was replacing. Working on the maximum speed the GE food processor did not move at all on the surface, nor it was not shaking much, it was very stable. I did not have to hold it at all as it was puréeing for good 10 minutes. After the job was completed, the unit did not feel hot at all. Great first impression and a good promise for the future.
Cutting and shredding can be accomplished with a choice of two blades. Cutting blades are fixed and the size of the cut is not adjustable.
Cleaning.
All parts (except the base where the electric motor is located) are dishwasher safe. I personally prefer to wash it myself and during the process it was easy to reach everywhere, no spot on all parts presented any challenge to make it clean.
Conclusion.
This mid-range food processor is very presentable, has a very good stability when working, it is quieter than some other units out there. There is a feel of quality to it, all parts connect to each other easily. The performance is very solid, no problem with making a purée, slicing and shredding works very well too. It is easy to clean, with no hard to reach spots. Within the price range it is a very good value, definitely recommended.

One We Actually Use

In line with other recent stainless steel kitchen gadgets from GE, this 12 cup food processor looks really nice on the countertop but what impressed me was the ease of use. I simply hate most food processors out there. They’re so unnecessarily complicated that the time you save processing your food is not worth the time wasted setting the whole thing up. I hardly use them. While not perfect, this GE is at least one or two steps closer to efficiency and simplicity at the same time.
My girlfriend and I found it was very powerful. It actually processed onions too fine because she didn’t realize its power. It does shred veggies both fine and thick very well. We didn’t shred cheese but I’d expect it to do just as well. Interestingly, it is very quiet for its power and size. I would just add that twelve cups is a good size for us but my recommendation is to never actually put that much food in it at once. You need some room for the food to move around. Although it’s nothing new, it is good to see safety features such as it won’t run until safely locked.
Going back to not wasting time, cleaning was much simpler than other models and brands we have used. Again, this is what has impressed us the most so far. The only complaint is the documentation that could be better. Personally, I tend to ignore it until I really can’t figure something out. This complaint actually came from my girlfriend. Otherwise, she is really happy about the product and so am I.

Received food processor as part of a promotion for buying GE fridge. Awesome promo option as my old one had previously broke. Very easy to use and clean up is very simple as it is dishwasher safe. 12 cup offering is excellent as well. Attaching the bowl to the food processor is also user friendly.... other brands are hard to attach and "latch" into place. 10/10 would recommend.
