It is a good one. Thermostat controls is good .I leave default setting same as manufacture's recommendation, other things is not so good.It is noisier than my last LG fridge ( It is a $3400 LG fridge, that breaking down after 3 years and 3 months), and freezer door a bit hard to pull out. I hope it runs for long time as I had ones( GE fridges).

Horrible refrigerator, only had it for a 8 months & the center cracked, you will need to put screws in it just to hold things up. The door water & ice maker doesn't really work that great. Please recall these refrigerators. Dont buy, parts are expensive as well. Total waste of your money.

Good looking refrigerator with some nice features. Biggest complaint is closing the doors requires more effort than I would like. I have found a couple times where I thought I closed the door, only to find it was still open.

Very sold product. I love the looks and quality of this refrigerator. Its a little pricey, and that is because of the fact that it's a counter depth fridge.

All features work as they should. It fits in the tight space I had for it. It is not noisy at all. I am definately satisfied with this refrigerator. The last GE fridge I had lasted 25 years.

This isn't a perfect fridge but I don't think there is one. Three years ago we purchased a Samsung Stainless Steel fridge and didn't like the icemaker/water dispenser, the non finger print stainless steel, and lack of freezer room. When we sold our home the buyers wanted the Samsung so we had to purchase anew fridge which was an easy choice as most were not available till December. This one was and as it turns out the water dispenser/icemaker is much better, quieter and fills faster. The fingerprint resistant stainless steel is truly a welcome addition as a microfiber cloth once a week is about all you need to clean it. Kudos to GE! The freezer compartment is on the bottom and holds a lot more than the Samsung. It runs quiet and customer service answers the phone if you have any questions. I will buy GE from now on!!

If I could rate this a zero I would. What a piece of trash. I spent over $3,000 and at 2 years 11 months the compressor goes out! I do not have an extended warranty so I am stuck paying for a repair man. Two different people came out and said basically it is trash and to by a new one. The repair man was nice enough to call GE who basically told him "not our problem". When an expensive appliance is not even 3 years old I would expect GE to have a better answer then that. All my appliances are GE and I was hoping to keep matching appliances. But at this point I would rather change to another brand then deal with this TRASH!

Owned same model of this refrigerator bought about 5 years ago. Change to tray sizes on doors is an improvement. Freezer temperature control seems improved. Overall, pleased to find the changes in the design.

Not impressed at all. There are several things I do not like about this fridge. The “fingerprint resistant” finish shouldn’t even be advertised. You can clearly see fingerprints and smudges daily. There is no release mechanism on the freezer door handle. On fridges that my friends have you pull on the freezer drawer
handle and it moves and sort of “unlocks” the freezer door. This door just has a handle and you have to really yank on it for the freezer to open. I can imagine this places a lot of stress on the handle itself and will eventually break. When the fridge arrived it had pink plastic wrapped all around it to protect the finish. The problem is that it seems like this plastic was applied and then the unit was assembled. It was impossible to get all the plastic out of the cracks because it looks like it’s glued in. I had to go around all edges with a razor blade to cut as much as I could off but there is still little bits of pink plastic stuck all around the edges of this fridge. But the WORST part by far is the water flow rate from the filter. It takes over five minutes to fill a glass of water. There is also no auto fill feature. I know it doesn’t sound like much but we all have bigger water bottles we fill and use throughout the day. It’s literally a 20-30 minute process to fill out water bottles. I am very disappointed in GE. I thought we were doing the right thing by paying for a good name brand but this fridge is trash for the three thousand dollars I paid for it.
Hi - We are truly sorry to hear how disappointed you are with your new GE refrigerator. While this refrigerator does offer our fingerprint resistant finish, it is not fingerprint proof. One of the advantages to this finish is the ease of cleaning that you do not have with a stainless finish. Due to the weight of the drawer, the contents in the drawer and the strength of the gasket, the drawer can be difficult to open. It's best to grab the handle in the middle and pull firmly to open the drawer. We do not and have not used a handle release on our models. The drawer handle is designed to withstand normal drawer openings that one would expect to occur in a family setting. We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you experienced in removing the protective film. Your comments will be shared with our product team for future product consideration. While this model does not offer AutoFill as do some of our other models, it does not in most cases take over 5 minutes to fill a glass with water. We encourage you to call GE service to have the water dispenser checked. Please call 1-800-432-2737 to schedule an appointment. We hope we have the opportunity to restore your faith in our brand. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA

Cons: After 3 months our fridge went out, it would not get cold and ruined all of our food. Luckily it was covered under warranty, but a brand new fridge should not have those kinds of issues. We’ve been without a fridge for over a week waiting for the replacement parts. Also, when we originally received the fridge the delivery was delayed and I was not notified by Best Buy. Once it was delivered the packaging was terrible to remove. It had a green plastic wrapped around it & it’s a struggle to get it out of the cracks around the doors.
Pros: Fridge looks nice & it has more room than I anticipated. Size is great if you need counter depth.

Oh no, we're so sorry to hear that your refrigerator stopped working after only 3 months. Having a delayed service appointment and a difficult installation would also be a letdown. We hate to hear that you had to go through that. We're glad, though, that you enjoyed how roomy it was. If you're still having trouble with your refrigerator, feel free to reach out to us on social media so we can look into this more. We're here for you. -Chris@GEA

Beautiful Fridge! It’s spacious and I really love the ice maker and the water line. GE had great reviews on this fridge, I hope it last longer than my last fridge which was a LG.

The fridge itself is really nice. Took multiple delivery attempts (damage, months of waiting) to actually receive it. The fridge is great, the service not so much.
I would recommend this to a friend

We originally bought the LG version of this fridge, but it broke within 5 months. After fighting with LG customer service, we got our money back and in turn bought this fridge. It was counter-depth like we needed, was a little more expensive (which was disappointing since this has a few fewer features) and was immediately available. In other words, this was really our only option. We saw the reviews said it was noisy but figured it was not too bad.
I am shocked at how noisy this fridge is. The LG was virtually silent and even my parent's 10-year-old fridge is quieter than this one. I keep thinking I will get used to it but it still really gets on my nerves. I think the hardest thing is the noise is not constant or the same. Sometimes a quiet hum, sometimes a louder hum. Sometimes a rattling sound or other times it is a louder sound, like an engine running. It is so disappointing that we paid more money for this fridge and have to live with the noise because we really had no other options. I would not recommend this if you have another option.
Hello, thank you for your review. We are sincerely sorry that your refrigerator is making a variety of noises. We understand how that would be frustrating and would love to look into this further as this is not the ownership experience we strive for.
