However, the side curtains leak rainwater VERY VERY bad. Had to seal up with silicon sealant which makes this more of a permanent installation. They could have also provided weather strips to seal the ends.

It also started to turn off and making a loud weird noise. I returned it and got a different kind. Also the top part where the air comes out does not move up or down.

I will never buy another item from Best Buy

does not perform as a 6k btu unit

And I hate to say it does not perform half as well as the old 5k unit. I would say this performs more like a 3-4 btu unit. Will have to purchase a different unit that will cool this bedroom and pay another crew to remove this and install a better one. A big waste of money here, just as an FYI for those considering this unit. boooo

Posted .Hi - We are very sorry to hear you are not pleased with the performance of this air conditioner. This unit is designed to cool a room as large as 250 sq ft down to the lowest temperature control setting of 64 degrees. If you are operating the unit in Eco mode, try turning it to Cool instead and see if it performs better for you. If the cooling performance does not improve, we would recommend you review Page 17 of the Owner's Manual for information on having the unit replaced under the terms of your warranty.
