Favorite fridge ever!!! Very easy access to everything

Found a great item for a great price and easily used my rewards points towards my purchase. Easy peasy!

The slate color is beautiful. Retractable shelf will be useful. Lots of area inside. I wish it had a covered butter keeper as one of the top side spaces. Also, the handles are stainless and show every fingerprint. Water dispenser is very convenient. So much better than water and ice maker in the door.

The reason for the poor rating is because I haven't received my refrigerator yet. It was supposed to be delivered December 19 and now it's delayed until January 2.

Love this refrigerator! The only minor issue is the fact that when you open the freezer door the refrigerator moves because of the 4 wheels. We put stoppers in front of the front 2 to keep it from moving.

Fridge was great until about 1 year and 1 month in and the water and ice maker stopped working. We ordered a filter...didnt fix it. Found out there are counterfits so we ordered filters directly from GE ...didnt fix it. Hired a repairman to fix it - he couldnt figure it out. Hired a Sears certified GE repair man to come fix it...he says the only thing he can figure is we need a new circuit board for the water filter compartment - $500. That's 1/3 of what we paid for the ENTIRE fridge. I will be calling GE directly to try and get this figured out. Else its honestly cheaper to just sell this and buy an entire new fridge. And it wont be a GE this time.

If you purchased this fridge, look for black stuff and black film in your water. The filters that are used for this fridge are defective. it doesn't matter how much water you flush out. I was told by a GE rep that the black stuff may never go away through the life of the filter, which means I will always have black stuff in my water. Also, the water coming DIRECTLY from the fridge is over 50 degrees, I had a service rep out the other day and the water tested out at 60 degrees. GE is not taking responsibility for this. Look at all the reviews, they all talk about how it looks and the space. I bet if they looked at their (from a white glass (I have tons of picture to prove it)) water they'd see black stuff. I've used 3 filters, flushed many gallons of water and cleaned out the ice try. I've been told this in a known issue.

My new GE refrigerator was delivered 3/21/23 and loud noise from inside(repairman says the coolant), 3/22/23 I registered over phone and reported it is loud, 3/23/23 a repairman took the back off to check and called GE. GE asked him about sound tape and he said it is wrapped. GE had him tell me it is NORMAL. Nobody I know has this noise from their refrigerator, not even the repairman GE sent. DO NOT BUY!!

I wanted to like this fridge, but we could not even get it in the door. The back was dented way beyond normal for the back of a fridge that I just didn't feel comfortable bringing it into the house. The fan grill was also bent. This of course is not Best Buy's fault. Manufacturers need better quality control at their warehouses. They just slap substandard stuff in boxes and ship them out to consumers and expect us to deal with it.

Terrible delivery guys for Best Buy. They damaged our screen and front door and no one will contact us to repair or replace doors.
