    I purchased this unit for a basement area that is prone to mildew odors and I plugged it into a wall outlet nearby. Although it is a small unit, it seems to clean the air and reduces the mildew smell very effectively, but is very quiet.

    I don't see a dramatic improvement in air quality solely due to this product yet since I use it with my other Germ Guardian purifier. However I've kept it running from day 1 (approx 3 weeks now) 24/7 and it is in good condition so far. Maybe I should try this in my bathroom and see if it works as advertised.
