Excellent doorbell camera

We didn't want to do battery and deal with charging or battery drain issues with our cold winters. It has been in use for about a month and have had no issues. The installation was easy and highly recommend this camera.

Picture/videos are more clear. Notifications seem to be more accurate. I have the nest ecosystem so the camera synced easily! I would recommend this doorbell camera.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had previously used Amazon Blink’s video doorbell and it kept disconnecting, It made the constant reconnecting tedious and frustrating. So I decided to replace it with this more expensive Google Nest doorbell. It is a HUGE improvement. Not only does it seamlessly connect to the Google home app, but it recognizes faces I’ve identified in my Google photos app and lets me know who is at the door with push notifications. Pretty epic if you’re into smart home tech. I bought the wired version because I didn’t want to mess with replacing batteries. Downside: This is significantly more expensive than Amazon’s Blink doorbell. Like 3x-4x more expensive. But I think it’s well worth the extra money for the freedom from hassle. Bonus: if you have a smart tv with Google OS, you can view your video feed right on your tv.

I like the ability to create zones that it will identify packages, and/or people. It works well with our existing chime. It responds quickly when people push the doorbell. My only wish is that it had a little wider range of view

Took months to decide between this and ring, but it works so easy with phone and other Google displays. One app on my phone for doorbell, security camera, hue lights, thermostat and smart displays.

You also get a biger view with this camera. With the iternet you are able to get notifications of who is in the front door in about 3 to 4 seconds.

It finally bit the dust and we needed to buy the new one. Been a great transition and the camera quality is phenomenal. Easy installation.

Installation process was moderately easy. Instructions in the box was a link to a video of instructions. Overall its a good product to upgrade your home to “smart”

We've taken note of your feedback and we'll certainly take this into consideration when working on new features with our products and services. Meanwhile, you might want to try using the wedge for a better camera view. You can install the wedge then position the baseplate plate over the wedge with the G positioned upright and use the wedge screws to secure it in place. Then attach the doorbell to the baseplate, align the circle at the bottom of the doorbell to the hole at the bottom of the baseplate, and push the doorbell in then down until you feel it click into place. The camera quality is great and has paired without any issue.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my inlaws and to start off they have poor internet less then 5mbps their area doesn't have fiberoptics yet. So install was easy, design and construction is great. However picture quality and connectivity needs to improve. Doorbells with 1080p shouldn't be made anymore with 4k technology in existence. When trying to view the video feed it would keep disconnecting and not load. Also the picture isnt very clear for 1080p. Now we got the eufy 4k dual doorbell and that loads instantly and has amazing picture quality. For around the same price i'd go for the eufy since it has a second camera facing down at your porch.

You can adjust the doorbell's video quality that may improve the resolution. The higher the video quality setting you choose, the sharper and more detailed your footage can be, but it also uses more of your internet bandwidth. This setting lets you pick the maximum video quality for your doorbell. But whichever level you choose, your doorbell will automatically adjust its resolution and compression according to how much bandwidth is available. Also, A range issue or wireless interference can cause your doorbell to disconnect from your Wi-Fi. Sometimes it may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected if it’s just a bit too far away. You may also check for objects such as mirrors and refrigerators between the doorbell and your router as these items could block the connection. Premium doorbell

Install was pretty simple and set up to the Google home at was even easier. The video quality and night vision make this door bell a must.

However there is no real change between this one and the last gen wired camera. Quality looks the same so you might be fine getting the last gen camera to save money if you need.

Replaced my Gen 1 Nest doorbell

I like the looks of the new one. Price is reasonable but a bit higher than some of the competitors. All the same features from my first one. Setup is pretty straight forward. Took me longer to mount it than set it up. Good camera and I'm overall happy with it.
