Nest hello was great, then came Google Nest battery doorbell which I thought was a little better except it didn't work so well in the cold weather months even when wire. Now comes Google Nest doorbell wired 2nd Gen which I really think is the best of all. Easy installation and the AI inside helps it climb to the top of my list and the video is very clear and crisp.

Easy to setup and has a great picture.The doorbell also lets you know when someone by the door even if they don’t ring the bell.

Such an easy item to install. Scan the QR code and you are on your way. Great product. Only issue is the Google interface. Nest’s app was far superior overall and much better with adjusting settings.

Clear picture with smart image processing, but the older landscape orientation of the Nest Hello was better for my purpose. I needed to rig more of an angle on the bracket so I could see everything I needed to see on my porch. Sound is better and more sensitive than Nest Hello, but the Google Home app is much worse. Not as intuitive and responsive. Better and smarter at generating alerts, but the notifications don't arrive as quickly. Also more annoying to scrub back and forth in the timeline.

The Google Nest Doorbell we purchased was easy to install (replaced a Ring Doorbell that Stopped working) and has performed beyond expectations. We love the frequent alerts we receive on our phones, and the integration with our Google Mesh system throughout our house. We also like the person identification feature that announces who is at our door, based on information we provided. Very helpful. Also, the videos cover a wide area and have good resolution. I would highly recommend this doorbell.

Upgraded from the older model. This is bigger and better and we love it. Crisp video and easy to use app

Bought this to replace gen 1 nest that was starting to peel, picture is great easy to use but it does not work with old nest app need to upgrade to Google home app which kind of stinks because I like nest app better

Love this camera/doorbell. The fact it can recognize a person and package being delivered, amazing. We’ve always had Ring equipment but the lag between 1 min recordings cut out so if something happened we couldn’t see it. The Nest camera doesn’t do that. LOVE NEST! We will be replacing all our Ring equipment with Nest/Google equipment.

Great product! Installation tool a little longer than expected. I never did find my doorbell transformer, but the installation was successful, so it must have been ok. Also, it took me a long time to identify my circuit breaker for the doorbell to shut off the power. Took 2 people and I had to test almost every breaker in the electrical panel. Getting notified every time someone delivers a package is very useful. The video quality is so high that I want to add more cameras for security. A couple of times we got notified of people seen at the front door in the middle of the night. It turned out they were deer!

After reviewing the instructions and verifying a few items the install and setup went well. It easily setup in the Google home with the rest of our devices. The angle mounting block was a nice piece too since it was mounted in a corner area. Highly recommended.

I went with the google nest since it stores 3 hours of videos for free — no ongoing subscription needed. It gives me plenty of time to watch any activity I need and helps me keep an eye out for package deliveries. Setup was simple. Very happy with my choice.

Great picture, both day and night. It was easy to install and gives us great coverage for our entryway.

Wish the angle was a bit deaper. It would have helped my view if the angle was better.

First off I like the finish on this compared to the original. I had the original nest doorbell for over 3 years and the plastic on it started peeling and the devices would shut off after the bell was rung. This one works nicely. No issues at all. Wish it had a battery in it so if power was lost for a moment it could still record. The finish on this one feels nice and may last the test of time but, we will see. Video is clear and pretty wide. I like that the view is a wider aspect in the vertical frame to see packages.

Awesome camera but only works with Google home and is not compatible with Nest app anymore.

It sucks that it's not 2k like the new one . However the HDR is pretty good.

Compared with Ring, this device has a smaller view and only three to 3 hours of recording, which is more complicated if you want to review the activity's history.

I bought thinking I would not talk through this much, but it is very handy! Was able to catch a contractor I was late getting home to meet and let him know i would be there in 5 minutes. Perfect for deciding whether to get up and answer the door when working from home and further interrupting your day. Easy to install and setup with my Google home/nest ecosystem.

Camera is clear and sensor is good to capture the moment outside the home for safety

Great buy! We were going to buy Ring but, after explaining the differences, we opted for Google Nest. We couldn't be happier. We are TotalTech members, so the install was covered (although, sadly, that is being changed by Best Buy). The Best Buy tech installed the doorbell, helped us with the app, and showed us how to use it. So far, so good. Simple and effective. (In retrospect, it would have been nice to have gotten one that was wired and had batteries - don't know if it was offered? - because our power went out during that tornado recently.)
