Very easily to connect. Not sure how to set the volume of the doorbell.

I had the old version of the nest doorbell and I was hesitating to buy this one but I dont regret is really accurate and specific whether is a person or is an animal. Also I love that let me know when a package arrives or someone take the package . I will absolutly recomend it. Crispy image at night and day. It looks more like 2k

We incorrectly purchased a wired device vs. wireless and had to return and trade for the latter. Best Buy staff was tremendous at helping us to exchange the unit purchased for the one required. Oh, but we already have a wired DB of this type installed at another home that is perhaps Gen1 - and it works great! Our 5-6-7 years of experience with the Gen1 DB is what actually influenced us to purchase Nest DB for my parents home. Albeit, Dad told us wires were in the wall for original '50's style DB, but this turned out to NOT be the case. Please verify presence of wires BEFORE attempting purchase and having to make two trips to exchange product like we did

Bought this to replace an original Nest Doorbell that quit working. I was surprised how much bigger this doorbell was than the 1st generation. Hardware installation was very easy and I like using the Home app to view the video. Unfortunately my other NEST products use the NEST app so I do have to switch back & forth between the apps. I really like the wider (taller) field of view over the previous generation. And the picture is much brighter (so bright that is stays in color even at night just from the street lights). Too bad they didn't update the video resolution like many of the competitors are doing. I recommend this doorbell - especially if you have other NEST products. If you don't have any other NEST products, you may want to shop around a bit to see competitors with higher resolution.

Upgraded from the first generation Nest to this newer model. Installation is easy if you follow along with the directions using the app. Inside the chime box, the newer model has less wires than the 1st generation one did. Instead of using the converter, you just attach the wires directly. Once installed I was getting too much wall on the right side of the camera, so I took it down and put it back up with the included wedge installed. That gave me a camera angle I desired, You need to use the Google Home app and might have to change the notification settings if you want to get the activity notifications to your device.

Upgraded door bell works great no issues would buy again

I personally prefer the original version of the nest ring doorbell, but mine died after two years. Replaced it with this one and I’m not disappointed.

A great door bell camara, i purchase this one to replace my original generation one Nest door bell. i like the fact that the camera will hold more data locally and you don't need to rely on the cloud service for storage

This was a replacement for the earlier version of the Google wired doorbell. Installation was very easy via the use of an online video which clearly laid out for each step what had to be done. Be advised that if you have an older and perhaps weaker transformer powering your current system and you want to use this with an electronic door bell that you may have a problem. If all you have is a electrical mechanical bell you'll probably be ok. Finally, be careful when inserting the security screw on the top of the doorbell. It's very small and easily droped and lost. Replacements are available on ebay.

Got a great deal on this open box unit when my 1st gen stopped connecting to WiFi. The resolution is a bit of a downgrade on paper but barely noticeable. Definitely do not regret my purchase

Love everything except that it requires a subscription for full use. They really milk you for the money. Got it because my toddlers would always break out of the house into the street so it was an added bonus to have a n additional ding to my phone if there was movement upfront.
