It does work, but it is a real pain to adjust all the time. It is not like a regular thermostat. It keeps going on "eco" which I do not have it set to do. So in my hot FL home I come home to stuffy. Or hot at night. Wish I had not bought it. But to change is going to cost me a lot from an electrician.

The thermostat changes its temperature automatically due to some factors like, schedule, learned habits (auto schedule), and Home/Away Assist which makes your thermostat go to ECO mode. You have an option to use it as a traditional programmable thermostat. You can manually set the temperature and create your schedules for the thermostat to follow. Here’s how:
With the Nest app:
- Open the Nest app and select your Nest thermostat.
- Select Settings and then Auto-Schedule.
- Tap the switch to turn it off.
With your thermostat:
- Press the ring and choose Settings and then Nest Sense and then Auto-Schedule and then Off.
We also suggest turning off your Home/Assist, and clearing the existing schedules by selecting Settings, > Reset, > Schedule > Reset.

Now having 2 thermostats, we can control the house via the app and have it learn out habits. Makes life much easier and we get to save time by not climbing unnecessary steps.

Overall worth the money for sure. I def recommend this thermostat over any other smart thermostat. We have it connected to our wink hub.

Before the nest my electric bill was over 250 dollars a month. After the nest it was around 120 dollars. This thing has been a money saver that I wish I would have bought sooner. The app is very user friendly as well.

Saves money as it learns your habits of coming and going. Easy to control form the Nest app when you’re away from home.

Even if youre buying at full price its well worth it. My first bill using the Nest was noticeably lower. I find myself trying to be in the green mode which is only going to save me money. Do yourself a favor and buy one of these.
