We didn't have a C wire and were going to try it as-is. Was having some other electrical done, so decided to add the C wire afterall. Didn't want to chance it, even though it says it can work without one.

I have a small dog at home and it can get really hot here in socal so having the option to change the temp while im away from home is amazing. Plus has a awesome eco mode to save on cost

Switched everything over to the new one that I purchased in store no problem. Go new unless you can afford possibility of several returns.

I ended up knocking my heating bill down to 20 bucks in the summer and that might from the drier, stove and water heater that it was 20 bucks. I have instealled tons of them in my family and friends 20+ doesnt work so much with in floor heat

We had a thermostat that you could schedule temperatures but it was not user friendly and it was hard to adjust the schedule. This was perfect for when we went on vacation, I could turn off the heat from my app and make sure my house did not go below 40 degrees and when we were on our way home I was able to turn on the heat and have the house warm and ready!

It is NOT, the newest gen thermostat looks more gunmetal-ish than pure black...ended up having to buy 2 of these just so I can have the same finish for upstairs and downstairs.
