    I have had the 2nd generation NEST for about three years now. I honestly cannot tell what is the difference between the 2nd generation and the 3rd generation. The profile is slightly slimmer but nothing noticeable other than that.

    Like it better than the ecobee. The nest seems to be more intuitive. I like being able to turn it instead of the touch screen of the ecobee.
