Within a week the Nest new my schedule and was adjusting the temperature when I was away from home and when I returned, as well as when I go to sleep and when I get up in the morning. I've only had it for a month so I haven't had a chance to really see the savings in my energy bills yet, but I look forward to seeing how the Nest will help save me money and pay for itself in the long run.

After researching the issue, I discovered it was a known issue by Google. I contacted Google directly for assistance. Although it was a well known issue, it took nearly one month to receive a replacement. It's been over three months since it's been replaced and I haven't experienced further issues.

It turns down to 60 for some reason when we want it at 65 or 68. Some automatic setting that we have not yet figured out. Better documentation would be helpful.

The Nest thermostat learns your preferences and routines, and it may adjust the temperature accordingly to save energy. But you have complete control over your comfort. You can easily switch to manual settings, create personalized schedules, or even turn off Auto-Schedule entirely. In the Nest app, simply go to Settings > Auto-Schedule and tap the switch to turn it off. Alternatively, on the thermostat itself, press the ring, choose Settings > Nest Sense > Auto-Schedule > Off. We also suggest turning off your Home/Assist, and clearing the existing schedules by selecting Settings > Reset > Schedule > Reset.
