Going through google nest chat to replace it is a log drawn out affair... each time the chat takes an hour or more. I say each time because they have sent me two replacement units and both are refurbished and have not worked. I would stay away.

I have a 2 zone HVAC system. Current thermostats are battery operated. There was no power going to these thermostat therefore I could not use them. The Best Buy employees are not fully knowledgable in this product.

Nest thermostats are usually compatible with zoned systems that use multiple thermostats, including zoned systems with dampers. However, some zoned systems that require thermostat damper control aren’t compatible with Nest thermostats, while other zoned systems may need a C or common wire, or the Nest Power Connector, to be compatible.
