Utter failure. It's impossible. Nest is very badly designed. It requires so much power. Our cables in the wall simply did not provide enough power. Nest would start up and shut down, repeatedly. Do not buy Nest. Go for ecobee which is much easier, better designed, and less headache to install.

Hearing from friends and HVAC pros to avoid Nest. I had Honeywell smart Thermostats at previous house and they worked great. I am going to buy Ecobees to replace the Google ones.
