    Liked the looks but had a lot of trouble setting up with smart vents.

    It won’t keep the temperature you set it for, it wants to do it’s own thing. I don’t care how much you reset it it always do what it’s want. Avoid at all cause.

    After 3 months, the device stopped “finding” its wiring. Double checked everything and had a professional come out to make sure it was wired correctly. $300 paper weight now that won’t even hold down paper. I’ve reached out to google but after 3 weeks have gotten nothing. Stay far away from this.

    Excellent product and you can have $125 rebate from SoCal Edison and SoCal Gas, still working on it how to use it smartly.

    *****do not buy the Nest Thermostats if you need a common wire and have multiple zones. They will die in a year. I spent $1800 in Nest Products and was mislead to believe that the Thermostats work without a common wire. Worst part Google/Nest doesn’t care and won’t make accommodations. Highly disappointed*****

      Thanks for sharing your review of Nest Learning Thermostat. We’re sorry to hear you encountered such a difficulty with your Nest thermostat.

      Though Nest Learning Thermostat would generally work without a common(C) wire, some systems such as the ones that can’t deliver enough power, gas valves, and zone or relay panels require a common(C) wire to work with Nest thermostats. You would need to contact a local pro for C wire installation.

    Was unable to set a consistent temp.

    The item was defective and changed the inside temp randomly. Spent over two hours with Nest customer service trying to find a resolution. The end result was the item had a defective sensor which was why it kicked the heat on and was 99 degrees in the house when it was 102 outside. Could not be program to cool consistently. It was returned to the store for a refund.

    I The Nest was never installed, Best Buy (Greek Squad) was not able to installed and was suppose to report to office the Nest was not installed. I will return product to the store for full refund. I was never contacted by Best Buy to have someone to install the Nest. Very Unsatisfied with the service

    Horrible product. Installed for 3 months, I hope your wifi doesn't go offline. If so you start all over. Was told as much by Nest customer service. It's not convenient...

      Hi there, B90046. Thanks for sharing a review about the Nest Learning Thermostat. We understand that having to set up your thermostat again each time your Wi-Fi goes offline can be an inconvenience, and we’ve taken note of this feedback. Meanwhile, you should be able to control your system with the thermostat but not with the app. You can still adjust the temperature with your thermostat to stay comfortable while you troubleshoot, which requires physical access to the device. If you’re not at home, your thermostat will automatically try to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network at regular intervals as long as it has enough battery power.

    Every afternoon it blows warm air even though is supposed to be cooling. I live in south Florida and it's the middle of the summer. Support is bad I have disabled every feature on it to be just a regular thermostat and still only cools when it wants to.

    Nest makes it seem it is easy to install and operate but the wiring is complicated & thermostat will not charge so you need a HVAC professional. Called many, even ones recommended by Nest and no one wants to help since I didn't buy it from them. I went back to Best Buy to get help and paid $100 for a service call but it is over a week later no one has shown up.

    First off, its overpriced. The directions tell virtually nothing about how this magic box (thermostat) actually works. I guess you're supposed to hook it up and tell it if you're comfortable, it does the rest. If you don't like that, buy something else. It also relies on internet for the phone app to work, even when locally on WiFi.

    I told the sales rep that my ac had zoning he assured me that the nest would work. It didn’t and the 3rd party company you sent to install had no idea what he was doing and he stole one of my original thermostats. He brought it back when questioned. He had no idea how it got in his car. It must have flown in there.
