Extremely disappointed in Google products

So if you're away from home and it's below freezing.....you may come home to an ice box!

Posted .We're sorry to hear about this experience you've had with your Nest. If the Nest for some reason loses its internet connection, as long as there's power going to the Nest, this would still act as a standard thermostat and continue to control the homes HVAC system.

Needs C wire

Not able to make Nest work

Currently have a honeywell digital screen thermostat, but it seems to only have the R and C wires. Check compatibility before u buy.

Within a week of the two year period, it broke. Have had A/C people look at it and it can only permanently stay on heat or cool, can't switch between the two.

I am no electrician by a longshot but the installation instructions and website interactive help made the setup very simple. Offsite control with my phone is easy, and I can also control with my Amazon Echo. Self learning as well as programmable more. Attractive unit. Would recommend without hesitation.

The settings are ridiculous the heat or AC can come on at any time. Its only good for turning the temperature to a comfortable after a vacation.

Does not work with Homekit, minimal functionality with ADT pulse - cannot create automations. Works great with Alexa. Nest site was down when I installed the system. Hopefully it won't be a common issue. Installation and setup were super easy, although I wish more of the setup was done on the app instead of on the thermostat. Display is really nice and bright. White looks a lot more subtle than the other colors, I feel. INSTALLATION HINT - I had the furnace covers opened while installing this as I had to connect the c-wire to my furnace - electrician didn't connect it because old thermostat didn't use it, but the wiring was already in place. Furnace wouldn't power up with the covers off, so Nest didn't come on. Once I put the covers back on, the furnace came on, and the Nest came on as well.
