I have owned the google nest thermostat for over a year and I am on my second Nest thermostat and I am in need of an unlimited supply of these things sense the WiFi has gone out on the original and the replacement that Nest sent to me. The Nest thermostat to me is just not a device you buy and it just works as advertised day in and day out it has a lot of issues I like some of the features of the thermostat but it’s quarks are annoying. like my thermostat kicks on every morning at 2:00 and sets the heat to 72 degrees every morning I’m the winter my house gets so hot that it wakes me up every single day and I have to get up and turn it down physically because of course the WiFi doesn’t work anymore. This thermostat is funny I don’t know how they can claim it’s energy efficient that’s a flat out lie! This thing runs my heat in the winter like 80 going west lol I have seen no drop in my cooling and heating bill. I’m sure if I took the time out of my life to compare my bills before and after the Nest thermostat my bills would definitely be higher after buying the Nest thermostat I give it two thumbs down.

Did not purchase product from Best Buy but did purchased it directly from Nest, actually I purchased two / one for upstairs and one for downstairs. Checked compatibility, current wiring was compatible (10 year old house). Installed both of them, it was a breeze. Working great but got N72 error code issue. Contacted Nest Support, was told that my system may not be compatible with Nest and that i should contact Nest Pro to check MY System for me and try to resolve N72 error code. NOW PAY ATTENTION PLEASE, WHEN I SPOKE WITH CS AT NEST THEY NEVER TOLD ME THAT I CAN REQUEST SERVICE CALL FOR THIS ERROR THAT WOULD BE PAID BY NEST AS I HAVE COMPLETED MY INSTALLATION AS INSTRUCTED AND CORRECT ( SYSTEM WAS WORKING). I am not an HVAC pro so I have contacted NestPro in order to make sure that installation is done properly and that i will not burn my house down and get rid of N72 Error. Nest Pro came in, checked everything, tested system, all fine but still N72 error is displaying. After nest pro left I contacted CS spoke with XABDIEL (Senior CS Rep) and he told me that error N72 is non issue code and as long as system is working i should disregard it. 1. Why i was not told that in the first place? 2.Why i was not made aware by the CS rep i originally spoke with that i can request service trough Nest directly and get paid back for service call. 3.Why do they sell system that even when it works properly still displays error code (deceptive advertising and it does not work as advertised) 4. Asked NEST to reimburse me for $215 i paid for Service Call as i was not made aware that N72 is non issue code and that i would not make service call request in the first place / I WAS BASICALLY TOLD THAT THERE IS NO WAY OF GETTING MY $ BACK So after 9 hours of calls and service visits / $800 spent i am an owner of NEST product, BTW Nest is owned by GOOGLE and i guess they do not care about happy customers.

I have this setup and running for about 45 days now and i love it. Its easy to control from my computer, phone etc. It provides history of heating and if we are economical or not. Its great to have this insight. I havent been able to test the auto learning part yet. One caveat is that it needs "C" wire and i did not have it. It behaved weirdly but Nest approved to reimburse the cost to run the C Wire from my furnace to thermostat.

I had it for a month now and it's been automatically adjusting the temp. So far it's been good.

We installed the Nest thermostat when we moved into our home and have been very happy with it.

I can't say anything bad about this product. It's been worth the money so far!

I have been obsessing over ways to reduce the energy costs in a rental property I own and this has more than solved the problem. My YOY savings in the first two months was almost 15% on the electric bill. My renters have the convenience of being able to set the thermostat to whatever they like while giving me the peace of mind knowing that the Nest will ensure optimum efficiency. I cannot recommend this enough.

I got the Nest thermostat to make my smart home smarter and I love it. I love the fact that I can monitor my temperature from a remote location. This especially came in handy when my scheduled temp was set for 72 daily but the outside temp went up to 76 in February in NJ. I was able to lower the temp inside my home according to the outside temp. Way cool! No pun intended...

I installed the thermostat with little problems, during the winter. I have a heat pump which has worked for years with an older style thermostat. The heat worked great and I loved the ability to turn the heat down when away from home. The following summer the ac would not come on. After spending over an hour on the phone with a Nest tech it was determined that the Nest thermostat was not operating properly. They replaced, I again installed and all worked well. The next summer same thing. I thought it might be the heat pump, had a tech check it out. Not the heat pump, the Nest. I have the old thermostat put in and ac works, at my expense. I contact Nest, they replace the base plate, I install and still doesn't turn on the ac. I do not recommend using with heat pumps

Bottom line: Temperature swing in heat mode is too wide and there is no anticipator setting. The temp reads 2 to 2.5 degrees too high compared to our a.c./heat thermometer and you can not calibrate it. But: I loved how easy it is to set up. The idea behind how it works is brilliant. Setting up requires internet and directions must be followed exactly. It is easy to read, works with or without a C wire. Controls on the phone app work well. Programming is easy. Learning part is weird and it would work better if it didn't out think itself so that part was turned off and programming used instead. Many electronic thermostats seem to inexplicably gain on their clocks, which need to be reset periodically. Because this one is connected to the internet, it sets the clock and keeps perfect time. Nest says there is no calibrating the unit or change in run time. Very disappointed for such a good looking and functional piece of equipment. If they would fix the two glitches, it would be an all out winner but can not recommend until they do and don't look for that any time soon, judging on their response to the inquiries.

Great that it lowers temp when you leave the house. Love that I can check on my phone what the temp is when away and in the cold months that the heat didn't go off.

I live in the middle of a desert. It gets really hot really often. I basically have the a/c on all the time when I'm at home. I love the nest for being able to save me money. I don't have to think about turning off the thermostat every time I leave the house and the Airwave feature is an amazing money saver. I just wish it were more affordable. Even at $200, it seem steep for a thermostat.

I just love this thermostat, it's blue controlled. I can adjust it as needed via my phone, it is so incredibly convenient!!! Best purchase ever!!

Like the smart function of adjusting temperature when rooms are not in use.

After some time and research I decided to pull the trigger and try it in my apartment. Couldn't be more satisfied with the purchase. Works great, and I love the ability to monitor temperature from my phone/computer even when I'm away.

This thermostat is amazing. The utility company rebates were nice too.

Love the convenience of this thermostat. Chic look in the house.

I don't like any of the NEST Cameras due to High Subscription but I really do Love this Thermostats, I really recommend this Thermostats, ones in a while it disconnects but I'm ok with it. I can remote access to it and check my home temperature, I really like that. But I'm not a Fan of Nest Camera anymore.
