Well my nest itself died just after it was out of warranty so I only used this for a brief period of time but it did what it needed to.

The trim is large enough to cover the hole. Works for me.

The price of this is pretty crazy for what it is, but it was needed. It does the job and was in stock when I needed to install.

Great addition to the nest thermostat if you need to cover up some blemishes around the install area. My nest was smaller than the existing thermostat so instead of using any putty I just installed this cover and works as expected. It looks clean with the nest.

To our surprise, our new Next thermostat did not have the same profile as the old one we were replacing. This trim kit did the job of hiding the unpainted area that would have otherwise shown.

Bought it but realized I did not need it. I thought I had only 3 wires but later I found 4 th wire in the cable which was not stripped for my old thermostat

If you bought a Google Nest Thermostat this is a must have. It not only helps the thermostat stay in place, but it also covers ugly gaps left behind by your previous thermostat. Atleast in my case, it covered a gap left behind by my old thermostat. Must get. Highly recommend.

Great product to control the temperature range in your house. Automatically clicks on if it gets too hot or cold.

Product was exactly what I was expecting. The playe was big enough to cover the hole from the old thermostat. It is also priced pretty fairly.

Very simple method for concealing imperfections caused by an old thermostat. I may have unintentionally thrown away some directions, but it was a little difficult to figure out where each screw belonged.

Good quality plastic, but this product is weird. It doesnt go against the wall and juts out at the edge of the oval away from the wall, which is a bad stylistic choice and makes it not flush against the wall.

Does a good job covering where previous thermostat was. Easy to install. Wish it was more flush with wall.

This review is strictly based on the ‘annoyance’ of the Nest, not being compatible with all heating systems. Many older thermostats use only 2 wires, because they required less power. The Nest , may require an additional third wire for power, which would need to be installed by an electrician, thus, greatly increasing the investment in unit. Though Nest says you can look up if to see if your thermostat wires compatible. Many, won’t know this until you buy the unit and find that your system needs the extra wire. Resulting in returning Nest. I find it shocking, that the nest can’t just rely on batteries or the limited power of an older system. So, though this may work on many peoples currrnt system. For many, it won’t and won’t be worth the cost of an electrician installing.

I bought this when I bought a Nest Thermostat. I did not realize the Nest Thermostat came with a trim plate so I returned this one. Looked nice but I liked the one the Nest came with better. It was more of a rectangle vs an oval.

Fits on the wall decently well, covers up the old thermostat spot. The curve of it is counterintuitive, as it curves away from the wall. Ultimately not a big deal though.
