nice trim kit, wish it covered better

Designed to have curved edges point away from wall

I'm not a fan. I should have 3d printed something more appealing instead.

Doesn't sit flush/Ugly

The new design does not mount flush to the wall like the included plate on the Nest thermostat E. Have to pay too much for a piece of plastic as a separate purchase. I will probably be getting a third party trim kit as this one is ugly and will be difficult to clean.

The Nest Thermostat Trim Kit (oval) is intended for Nest Thermostat only and it’s not compatible with Nest Thermostat E and Nest Learning Thermostat. Nest Thermostat E and Nest Learning Thermostat includes a rectangular trim plate, which is designed to cover any imperfections on the wall, or where you may need to cover up holes or marks left behind by your previous thermostat. Cheap design

Should have made it a thicker wall flush mount instead of the edge coming away from the wall. I give it two stars cause it covers the old thermostat space.

Also, has a bit of a plastic feeling. Would have been nice to have another premium option
