Great doorbell

Net made it easy for me and so easy to install. Plug and play. Only inconvenience is the charging piece. But , its expected for a battery operated device. Highly recommend

Battery life will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and camera settings that you select. Users can extend the battery life of their camera by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. Here are some typical scenarios:
Busy: About 1 month battery life (About 25 - 30 recorded events per day)
Typical: About 2.5 months battery life (About 13 - 16 recorded events per day)
Quiet: About 6 months battery life (about 2 - 5 recorded events per day)
It's important to check the frequency of events (per day) that you get with your Nest Doorbell (Battery). If the short battery life isn´t related to the frequency of events, then we may need to have a closer look at your device and understand what may be causing it. Plus the app guides you through each step. Images are clear in the day and night. Face recognition is an added benefit and package detection works well. Hard wired mine so I wouldn't have to worry about recharging.

It takes forever to charge. It can fall off easier since you have to take it off to charge. We are currently renting so that is why we went with a battery one. We used to have the wired one when we owned a home and that one is miles apart better than this one. If you can wire one in then go with the other doorbell cam from google.

I have to charge the battery weekly, it’s way bigger than the other Nest doorbell, and it doesn’t even connect to my doorbell wires (I used the recommended wires and connection). I brought this matter to Google customer service and they didn’t really help me. I like the other Nest doorbell more than this one.

Better than expected!

I was hesitant because this is not wired it’s Bluetooth and it has really impressed me. The picture is really clear and it picks up motion from a good distance away.

Easy to use and customizable alerts

Easy set up especially with the Google eco system. The notifications aren’t as sensitive as the Ring which is nice and alerts can be broadcasted throughout the home via Google devices.
