Make sure it's on tight. Act as I'd you are a bad delivery person and press hard on the doorbell. Recording doesn't work if lens is damaged

The option for a reliable battery powered doorbell cameta is great. This one looks sleek, works well, and is extremely easy to install and setup.

Almost perfect; just needs 24/7 recording on power

I love the taller field-of-view, which, for my use at least, makes it much more practical for seeing packages delivered, people's heads while they're ringing the doorbell, etc. Only downside is, even on power, it only records events

Only downfall is if you don’t know how to use google home or don’t know anything involving google then it might be difficult for some people. Other then that it’s a good product

It alerts me when someone unfamiliar comes up to the door. We had someone wiggle the door handle in broad daylight a month ago and it caught them on camera and I was able to post it to our neighborhood alert system. The integration with the nest display is fantastic as well. Love that when someone rings the doorbell it rings inside the home.

Did some research about voltage and transformer. It turned out my current doorbell has already have the right transformer. Installed the Google doorbell in about 10 minutes. Worked great with my current chime. Also sends notification to Google home app and Google assist speaker. Very happy with the purchase.

I live in an apartment complex and the color matches well. Functionality I'd give it an 8 out of 10 for the fact that I mostly use Google products. Anyway, getting this was pretty much an easy choice.

Reliable can view right on your phone or google devices seamlessly. Never had a ring or anything but when your home is all google don’t even waste your time with anything else. Just Go google!

I like this much better than ring because it comes off easier rather than trying to screw off to get to the battery for Ring. Like with all battery powered doorbells, you have to charge it frequently in cold weather.

Nest Doorbell (battery) is designed for the outdoors with the temperature range of –4°F to 104°F. Battery life will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and camera settings that you select. You can extend the battery life of your camera by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. Here are some typical scenarios:
- Busy - About 1 month battery life (about 25 - 30 recorded events per day)
- Typical - About 2.5 months battery life (about 13 - 16 recorded events per day)
- Quiet - About 6 months battery life (about 2 - 5 recorded events per day)
If you’re willing to try, we recommend checking the frequency of events (per day) that you get with your Nest Doorbell (Battery). If the short battery life isn’t related to the frequency of events, then we may need to have a closer look at your Nest Doorbell (Battery) and understand what may be causing it. Easy to get connected and keep everything neat. We bought 2 so when the main one needs a charge we can easily swap to not have a delay of a couple hours waiting for the charge.

Event detection and recording depends on the settings that you select. You can choose which events your doorbell can detect and record (people, motion, package, etc.). Using activity zones to monitor specific areas can also help. As for the battery life, adjusting video quality, length of video clips, and time between recorded events can extend its battery life. All about zones.

The zones are very easy to set up, and they work very very well. I don't get alerts from zones I don't want. I have heard some doorbells they jsut use feet from the camera? This actually has zones you can create for the entire field of view. Thanks Google! No subscription needed for this either. (plenty of perks if you do choose though)
