I have 8 other devices on the Nest App and this one doesn't connect. It says that it won't connect in the details, but then Google should have removed Nest from the name. The Google Home app is annoying. The temp is currently -15 and the camera has been offline for over a day. Probably to spare the battery, but it has become a $130 normal doorbell. My wired Nest Doorbell is working just fine. I would recommend buying the non-battery powered wired doorbell that connects to the Nest App. This one is not good.

The new Nest Doorbell (Battery) is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your devices can be set up and controlled in one place.

I like the narrowness of this cam, and everything integrates well. The clarity of video is ok. I came from having Ring, and I think Ring has them best on video, but all in all, I’m pleased

The first one died by April 2024, I'm sure the second one will soon. Neither will retain battery power, have to charge them every 3 days or so, for 5-6 hours each time. They can't really help protect you when they go offline half the day or need to be stuck on a charger.

The video quality is OK but it always seems to start recording just a little too late and stop a little too early. I'm holding out hope the Google fixes thing with future software.

You can try doing the following:
- Check the Wi-Fi connection
- Check if there’s any interference
- Restart doorbell
- Try disabling any network extenders
- Turn off other devices connected to Wi-Fi
