Posted .Hello there, TiffanyS. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing a signal loss issue with your Nest Wifi Pro. We would like to provide some assistance with your concern.
Signal loss problems can be influenced by various factors, including interference from the building materials in your home. Additionally, signal interference can occur due to Wi-Fi traffic on your network, neighboring networks, or other sources like microwaves or baby monitors. To minimize these issues, it's recommended to keep your Nest Wifi Pro devices in a clear line of sight to avoid any drops. As a general rule, placing each Nest Wifi Pro router about 2 to 3 rooms apart tends to work best. If there are possible sources of interference, you may want to consider positioning your mesh routers a bit closer to each other. Adding additional Nest Wifi Pro routers can also help create a stronger mesh network throughout your home.
If none of the steps we have provided prove to be helpful, we would like to take a closer look at the range issue you're experiencing in order to isolate it further. Please feel free to reach out to our support team using this link: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

Posted .Hello there, TylerW. Thanks for sharing your experience with using the Nest Wifi Pro. We’re sorry to hear it didn’t meet your expectations.
Checking the placement of your Wi-Fi router or points can help, which is vital to have reliable Wi-Fi throughout your home. Points work best when they’re no more than two rooms away from each other. If the far end of your house has weak Wi-Fi, don’t put a Wifi point in that exact spot. Instead, put it part way in that direction. Try to place it in an elevated position like on a shelf.
You can also try these steps below that can improve your overall experience:
- Move the connected device closer to your Wifi router or point.
- Repositioning the points to avoid obstructions like walls, doors, and aquariums can improve performance.
- Make sure all unused devices are off and not draining bandwidth with large downloads.
- Check for possible sources of interference such as microwave ovens, refrigerators or other equipment.
- Run a mesh test to confirm placement of your Wifi points.

Posted .Hi ErickP, thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. We're sorry to hear about the latency issues you are experiencing with Nest Wifi Pro.
If you're willing to try, we recommend checking if your Nest Wifi Pro has the latest firmware version by simply going to the Google Home app and following the steps below:
- Open the Google Home app.
- Touch and hold your Nest Wifi Pro device's tile.
- Tap Settings > and then Device information.
- Under ""Technical information,"" check for the firmware version.
- The firmware version should be 1.63.324946 or higher.
Your device should automatically download the update via an Over-the-Air (OTA) update. However, if the firmware version is older or has a lower version than the one above, we recommend removing some of the connected devices in your network to free up some bandwidth space. Your Nest Wifi Pro should be updated after sometime. Posted .Hi there, Gabe. Thank you for sharing your concern about Nest Wifi Pro. We're sorry to learn that you're having some consistency issues with the internet speed when using the device. This is not the experience we want you to have. We recommend checking your Wi-Fi network to see if your bandwidth is congested, which may happen if you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network. These few steps can help:
- You can try restarting your router to reset your internet connection.
- If you have a lot of open apps on your phone, they can slow down its overall performance. Try closing some apps.
- If that doesn’t work, you can try restarting your phone or device.
- Other devices in your home may be using a lot of bandwidth. You can temporarily stop a device’s bandwidth use by quitting an app or program, disconnecting it from Wi-Fi or ethernet, or by turning it off.
If you've done these steps before or if the issue still persists, reach out to us at the following Google Help link for further assistance: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

Posted .Hello there, RobertB. It’s unfortunate to hear of your issue with the performance of your Nest Wifi Pro. We understand your decision to return the devices due to your experience. But if you’re willing to try, it may be helpful to check the placement of the camera as connectivity and performance can be affected by range issues or wireless interference. Although the device can sometimes pass the connection test, it will struggle to stay connected if it's too far away from your router or if your connection is spotty. We also recommend checking your Wi-Fi network to see if your bandwidth is congested, which happens if you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network. Removing other connected devices to your Wi-Fi may relieve network congestion. You may need to extend your Wi-Fi network’s range using boosters or additional Wi-Fi access points if your camera is located too far from your Wi-Fi router.

Posted .Hi there, Triggamike68. Thank you for sharing your insights regarding Nest Wifi Pro. We're sorry to hear that you're not experiencing the expected Wi-Fi speeds. Combined speeds represent the total speeds across all bands and are based on the IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications, which rely on the use of Wi-Fi 6 or later generation connected devices that support 160 MHz channels. It's important to note that actual speeds can be influenced by various factors, including your internet service provider, network conditions, connected devices, local regulations, and environmental factors. Stinks
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Better performance BY FAR from the previous generation Nest Wifi. I have 1Gbps up and down fiber internet and can barely get 300Mbps while standing next to the router. Router runs twice as hot as the prior version. Surface temperature over 130 degrees F. The firmware update touted by Google which would “fix” the issues, did absolutely nothing in my case. Since that update….crickets. I cant believe they are still selling these. I went back to the previous Nest WiFi mesh hardware.
