It does not stay connected to the modem, disconnects multiple times a day and if you are in the middle of something, tough luck. Google knows about this through the multiple complaints and will have you waiting for weeks with no resolution, stay away as much as possible.

Although the Nest Wifi Pro is expected to provide fast reliable coverage, its performance can be affected if there are potential sources of interference, either physical interference (thickness and type of walls, mirrors, windows, etc.) and competing signals (other wireless devices, baby monitors, microwaves, etc.). If you're experiencing a spotty connection or weak signal, we recommend checking your Wi-Fi network to see if your bandwidth is congested. This may happen if you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network. You may need to extend your Wi-Fi network’s range using an extender, boosters or additional Wi-Fi access points.

We suggest checking the placement of your Wi-Fi router and points which are vital to have reliable Wi-Fi throughout your home. As a general rule, points work best when they’re no more than two rooms away from each other. For example, if the far end of your house has weak Wi-Fi, don’t put a Wifi point in that exact spot. Instead, put it part way in that direction. Try to place it in an elevated position like on a shelf.
You can also try these steps below that may help:
- Move the connected device closer to your Wifi router or point.
- Repositioning the points to avoid obstructions like walls, doors, and aquariums can improve performance.
- Make sure all unused devices are off and not draining bandwidth with large downloads.
- Check for possible sources of interference such as microwave ovens, refrigerators or other equipment.
- Run a mesh test to confirm placement of your Wifi points.

It tends to go offline frequently. Maybe not the best for Sonic Fiber. The other problem is it only has 2 connection on back side.

I tried several times. I even looked Google for help. I tried those ideas. I finally took them back and got a different router that connected immediately.

Needed to move individual units for optimal connections. Home app said that the three nodes each had a "great connection." Also, individual device connections also showed as "great " Finally the Home app said the network was great in general. With all this greatness, I was surprised to see that file transfers over my internal network had slowed 70+%, as compared to my old Netgear router/AP. Restarted the network in hopes of triggering a firmware update. No improvement. I hope BB takes them back.
