Never flow a drone. Was super easy to learn to fly. Bought this one because it came with Hero5 and hand held gyro. Other drones only have the built in camera. It really is a sweet system that fits into a small provided backpack.

This is a well rounded package. The case is a nice addition and fits everything nicely. The detachable GoPro and the handheld stabelizer was the selling point for me over the dji mavic. I also like that the controller has a built in screen so you don't need a phone or a tablet for the camera. The reason for the 4 stars is in my opinion its better for camera use than drone use. The image stabilizer and the gimbal are better than my phantom but the phantom is more fun to fly. The phantom being lighter and more responsive makes it more enjoyable. I would still recommend this if your looking for more of a camera use.

The Karma has been getting a bad rap lately because of some of it's lack of sensors and extra features. Personally, I'll take this drone at this price package and get one with more features later. This is a fantastic drone for the first-time drone flier. It is so simple to use and fly. The controller is so user friendly, setup is so quick and the portability is just a huge plus. But honestly, the biggest factor for me as a videographer is the image quality. DJI has the features and the advanced systems, but their quality of video footage to me isn't quite up to the standards I want. The GoPro Hero5 camera footage is superb! Plus, with the whole kit you get a camera you can use for other things, a controller, drone, hand stabilizer (Karma Grip) and a backpack. For all of that in another drone company package you would easily be paying double the price. So worth it! After purchase, make sure to register with the FAA. It's only $5 and it helps the whole drone community act in a more professional manner.

I lost connection to the drone, even though it was not very far from me. The video quality was decent, but the drone could not hover in place, it drifted by itself making still frames a bit harder to capture and flyovers a bit riskier if you were near water or trees. I followed all protocols including having a spotter but it still made me very nervous to fly. Maybe they can fix these with next years model. Also, I would consider making it waterproof just as a safety precaution. I strayed away from water for fear it would just fall out of the sky.

GoPro Karma or DJI Mavic...seems to be the hot debate between drones, lately. I chose the Karma w/Hero 5 because of its versatile filming capabilities. There is no other drone package on the market (as far as I am aware of) that allows you to take photos and videos in the sky, detach the stabilizer and film the action on the ground, and then throw the camera on a surfboard. Karma allows you to do this. What the Karma lacks in some of the more technical features on other drones, it makes up for in its versatility, and that is why I gave it a shot. So far I am quite happy with my purchase.

The GoPro campaign itself is Flawless the GoPro Karma is also flawless. Out of all the drones out there and action cameras this combination by far is superior to all even if Apple or Microsoft themselves were to make a Drone I feel GoPro would blow them out of the water and get it on video. I use both Apple and Microsoft products in junction with GoPro. Karma is the greatest. She works with all my devices. The flight time is actually perfect. Super quick and easy to put together the auto take off auto land feature is phenomenal the "dronie" feature is nice. (Autopilot). GPS.Flight logs. One hour to charge. Easy UI and controls. Video game like system. Too much to put on here. AMAZING product. I hate that best buy doesnt offer insurance... Almost didn't purchase for that reason. GoPro offers insurance! And cheap! Totally worth it.

Really great drone, was easy to fly. The only downfall is the battery life. Would invest in an extra battery for the drone and maybe a portable power pack.

With the bad rap, I was skeptical. But, I am so very happy with this drone. It’s easy to learn to operate, responsive to my needs, and it does come home when I pushed the home button - every time. Battery life was a bit short in the cold (28 F), but it still put together some awesome video. Very happy and satisfied with the Karma drone.

I had high hopes for the new gopro drone and was curious if it was any better rthan the competitor's... but the karma cannot beat the other equivalent products on the market. the footage quality is okay, but not better than e.g. phantoms... and most importantly to me, it is too big, althought it is foldable, it is not handy to travel with at all. yet, it is stable in the air and easy to sontrol.... but... i will resell the product.

This may not be the best drone on the market, but it is one of the best. I didn't need a drone to go 4 miles or more. I just needed one for some fun. The GoPro Karma is loaded with fun. It is easy to fly and will help you if you get in trouble. The included camera is top of the line. I made my purchase partly based on reviews and partly on the GoPro reputation. I truly believe this was a wise purchase. I won't get all techie because nobody wants to hear that stuff. We just want to know how it fly. It fly great!!!

I'm really happy with my purchase of the Gopro karma drone. You can use the drone, the karma grip, or gopro by itself. It seems to be really durable to withstand a lot. I've gotten a lot of amazing pictures and videos in just the few times I've used it!

I bought this strictly on the basis that it included the Hero 5 and the Karma grip. Was not planning to use the Karma at all. Wow, was I wrong. Out of the box it was amazing, easy setup, easy to fly, easy to carry, easy everything. I love the Karma. Great for beginners like myself. Super easy controls and a joy to fly. The only downfall is that all of GoPro accessories are super expensive. A usb port door is $20 if you lose yours. REALLY??? $20??? other than the accessories being expensive, its a joy.

I got the Karma for the GoPro camera, and I am glad that I did. I only go 4 stars because GoPro could really up there game with the drone. Features such as sensors and follow me seem very standard with drones now. That being said, I compared camera after camera, and this fit my needs. And having the grip with the purchase is dope :) Only thing I would change about the camera is to be able to shoot at 60 FPS in 4K and to be able to at least shoot in medium, rather than only wide and super wide.

Easy to fly, and good natural controls. The steady grip is awesome and the quality of video from the go pro can't be beat.

Highly recommend the Karma and Hero 5. Very easy to fly and land. The picture and video quality is amazing!

Great package, easy setup and easy to fly. My bigest complaint is battery life. Everything i read quotes 20 minutes. Most mine gets with a fully chaged battery is 18 minutes and if you account for the 3 minutes the system takes over and lands its only really 15 minutes. I did buy a second battery and at full charge it will give me 19 minutes at start. These minutes might sound trivial but a couple minutes of flight time really makes a difference.

This is my first drone and I couldn't be happier with it. Outstanding video and photos with it right out of the box. Set up was a breeze and the onscreen tutorial was very helpful for a newbie like me to learn to fly.
