this media mod is an extra assessors that really shouldn't be needed as previous gopros have been able to have a hdmi out without buying an extra assessors. Other than that part it does what it is supposed to do.

Great addition to your GoPro if you want to use the add lights, mic and lcd screen, However like all other GoPro products which are proprietary they come with a hefty price tag.

It’s really great device for the GoPro. The mic on it is decent for beginners like me but if you already have another one, I can see why people would use it over the built in on. All in all it’s really good.

The media mod mic sounds more muted than the built in mic even when it is set to stereo (front/back mics). I have constant issues connecting to the GoPro via the app wirelessly every since the media mod was installed. I have to constantly reset it as it locks up or powers itself off randomly when an external monitor is connected. Works fine without the mod. I'm waiting for a firmware update to see if it fixes the issues but if it does not come before my return window I will just send it back.

Work good for what it is. Try and see if they have it on an open box deal.

I like the features this adds to my camera. I'm waiting on the display mod to come out to go along with this. I wish it had 1 or 2 more plugs so you can use more mods along with it though.

They took away the interfaces for this camera and at times you need them back. Gotcha for some more money but this camera is awesome and this attachment gets the job done. Very happy.

It's nice to have the mic connection and it makes it easy to charge while using. Draw back is having to take the handle off and take it out of the case to put the card or battery.

Clunky as a live-stream solution for the GoPro Hero 8 which is what I purchased this with the intent to use it for. When connected to an HDMI the menu disappears from the Hero’s screen so you have to blindly swipe and push on invisible menu items to access different functions. The output gets totally ruined when recording on the device and simultaneously attempting to use the hdmi output. The microphone does increase audio quality, but only by about 40-50%

The mic doesn’t seem THAT much better than the GoPro mic... and I wanted to hook up a shure video mic, but it doesn’t work with the usb in (or a connector for a usb-c to 3.5)... so that is a bummer.

Its good, but I believe its overpriced at 80 dlls when the camera itself has a good audio

Nice well built, but not really needed unless your casting.

Been meaning to get this for some time now and since it was in the store I didn't hesitate. Been a fan of GoPro since the beginning so it's all good to me.
