    Super Phone

This is a super phone. Being primarily aimed at the older generation it works quite nicely. It has large text and icons making it easy to see and use. Menus are simple. Volume can be turned up. I bought this for my wife who is not at all techno savvy. She cannot use my Iphone but she likes and can use this phone. It is allowing her to learn to text and surf the net without the large keyboard of a desktop computer. It also has some medical capabilities if you need them. We don't, so I cannot speak for those functions. The best part about this phone is the cost. It is much less expensive than the main stream phones and it doesn't cost a fortune for monthly service. I would recommend it highly for some one that has a landline and just needs a part time cell phone. As this is a new phone the only thing I cannot answer is the dependability. I hope that it turns out to be a quality device. I will give an update later to let you know how well it holds up.

    Great Cell Phone for Mom

This cell phone has categories easily recognized with large fonts. It is a smart phone with a Jelly Bean Android operating system. The service is provided through Verizon wireless and the the company is greatcall.com. Setting up the system is a breeze and the support has been great. The online account management has all the attributes as that of one of the mainstream companies. Monthly prepaid access allows for roll over minutes and you can manage your account online. Making changes is also important so you can base the service on usage that is monitored via the online account. It has a wonderful interface with a GMAIL account and the email, contacts, photos, calendar, etc. all sync seamlessly! Mom's previous phone was a Windows OS with all the tiles and confusion that makes the novice user a frustrated consumer. Most importantly, the service comes with a "5 Star Urgent Response Button" where highly trained agents can help at anytime. They know your location via GPS tracking and can be super effective under emergency situations!

The Jitterbug Smart Phone is easy to set up and use. It was very helpful that it came with a user guide that didn't have to be downloaded from the internet. The screen display has large icons so that it is easier to use than traditional smartphones. The only downside is that it takes too long to power up if you are in a hurry and needed access quickly.

Jitterbug's Smartphone is so easy to use. For a smart phone the cost was within reason. In addition, the prepaid options are perfect for someone that uses their phone for convenience rather than constantly. This phone offers pretty much the same apps and functions as other more expensive phones but is a whole lot easier to understand and use. We did find that the manual did not cover a couple of the functions that were possible to use on this phone but after calling customer service at Great Call, they were able to walk us through the process quickly and efficiently.

We were looking for a smart phone that would be easy for my 88 year old Mom to use. She previously had a smart phone from Verizon, but had a hard time using it. Everything about the phone was small and confusing for her. Plus, she only had the minimum service because she couldn't afford more. She had to pay long distant charges to call outside her city limits. With the Great Call Jitterbug, everything is big and easy for her to see. It has been easy for her to figure out how to use it. The service plan is very affordable and with many more features included in the price; texting, voicemail, data package, and long distance. It definitely is the right phone for her and only cost $149 at Best Buy!

I got the Jitterbug Smart Phone for my dad (83 yrs old) because he enjoys using technology to keep in touch with family, and it has worked out perfectly. The phone is big enough to fit comfortably in my dad's hand and has many customizable features he really enjoys. Dad can easily text his nephews or call his friends with the touch of a button. Most of the phone's functions are easy enough to use without reading the instruction manual but some are more challenging. My dad hasn't made use of some of the upgraded medical features but those are optional so we can decide if we want to keep them. No contracts; low price; easy and fun to use. My dad's favorite feature is the Photo Album! Overall, this is a wonderful phone for an older person who likes technology.

We are senior citizens with limited cell phone experience, so simplicity of use is important to us. The write-ups on this phone were favorable for simplicity,so that is why we purchased the Jitterbug. After one weeks use, we are still facing some challenges with our phone. We hope that with increased use, we can take full advantage of the many features the Jitterbug offers. We do not expect to be able to do all that younger folks do with the phone, but do aspire to be more accessible when away from a landline phone, and also have emergency access when needed. We hope to achieve this with use, practice, and reference to the useful aids you make available.

The phone has been good, no problem with calls and I liked how I could set the home screen with just what was needed for my family member that is using it. The only thing I wish you could save pictures from other apps to the phone, such as Facebook, like you can with I phones. I would not have put the 5Star button where it is because it seems too easy to hit by mistake.

I bought a "regular" cell phone the week before I bought the Jitterbug smartphone. Even tho' I have my 3rd desktop and 2nd laptop since 1999 and feel fairly competent using them, I wasn't able to easily learn to use to the first cell phone. The Jitterbug is much easier to use and I'm very happy with it altho' I wish it had GPS capability.

This was purchased for an 82-year-old technophobe. He never could master his flip phone, but finds this is so much easier to navigate. He is proud to have a "smart" phone. and he can SEE the screen. It's not as flexible or powerful as my Galaxy S8 but is just right for him. Great Call was very helpful in setting up the service.

Bought this for my mom, whose iPhone was too confusing for her but she liked the look and idea of a smartphone. I was surprised how much this phone could do - essentially almost everything an average iPhone users needs! But it is packaged a little more intuitively and I was able to "hide" a lot of the functions. The phone is probably still more than my mom needs and possibly still too confusing for her; time will tell as she only has had it for a week. But it seems like a good phone for the money!

The phone is good and easy to use. However, it does not give options to deal with messages, text, and numbers already dialed like most other phones do, such as easily selecting them to be added to the contact list, or deleted. It seems to have a dial default. If you touch it, it dials it. Also, difficult to swipe to answer sometimes for arthritic fingers.

I did a test for this phone to see how easy and useful it would be for the seniors I work with, using my mom as a perfect test case. It turns out the large button and up front menu system were very easy for her to learn and work through. At 89, it was great to see her able to gain a quick understanding of the functions. The great call programs for health and wellness are also very good tools for her to have at her disposal. Being able to keep her medical history updated and with her at all times would be a great feature and helpful for her doctors. I would suggest taking a look at this product, especially if you are a long distance caregiver.
