This back case is really made for the first iPad mini. It's missing the speaker hole on the back for mini 2 and 3. There's not much screen protection due to the thickness of newer iPad models. Another minus is that it's very smooth without a grip to keep it from slipping out of small hands. But it works well with the Apple smart case made for original mini to prevent minor bumps and scratches.

Good protection for the back of the iPad mini. Wish it had a metal strip to catch the smart cover when it's folded back.

This works like it's supposed to and was on sale for a few dollars, so what's to complain about? I have purchased more than one and they fit perfectly and keep the iPad back from getting scratched when using a Smart Cover.

Well designed and well made comparable to products at twice the price

Bought this on clearance for a super low price, and it was exactly what I was looking for to protect the back of our new iPad Mini 2. It's thin and works with a Smart Cover.

I would have given it 5 stars if it did not slip off occasionally. See through, so you can see the inscription that Apple lets you get when ordering. Allows smart cover to attach easily. Very cool case protection.

Simple, protective case for the iPad Mini. Adds barely any weight and thickness. Would be nice to have strips to improve grip and magnets to help keep Smart Cover secure when flipped around to back.

I have no complaints. This is a hard backing for the iPad Mini and nothing else, but it's enough for my purposes. It protects somewhat, and keeps the back and sides from getting scratches, but of course the face is vulnerable. I have another lightweight padded sleeve that I put my iPad in, so it's protected when it's in my bag. I just wanted to keep the weight down as much as possible—for me, that's the whole point of the Mini—and that's what I've achieved.

I bought this to go with my red Apple cover. I would have preferred a red one, but Rocket fish doesn't make one. Fit and weight are great. Price is not overly expensive. The cutouts for the ports are large and should fit all accessories.

I bought this to replace the same one I broke. I love this case and keep a spare on hand. I like it because it's clear and it's not bulky. My daughter likes it because she can put pictures and stickers on the back of her iPad. It is a snap on style so there is no lip or screen protecting edge, but it fits/works great with the Smart Cover.

I bought this because it was on clearance for $3 Does what it is supposed to do but nothing more. I do like the fact that it is clear and you can see the color of the iPad.

Have had mine on my Ipad mini for years!! Now that we have bought iPad mini's for our adult kids .. they all get one too and they love them and never take them off! Great protection, especially when combined with the InvisibleSHIELD.

It's a nice case. It has a very snug fit and is good for protecting the back and sides. This case is a little on the slick side, which makes it hard to grip, and even a bit difficult to pick it up off of a hard, flat surface. In terms of impact/drop protection, it is certainly better than nothing.

This case does the job it's designed to do. Protects the back of the iPad mini without adding weight or looking like a clunky case. After several weeks I don't have any scratches and it hasn't come off on its own. It simply covers and protects without distracting from the appearance of the iPad.

I have always preferred clear covers my devices. Manufacturers, especially Apple, take the time to design beautiful devices and I like to see the original designs but protect them at the same time. This back cover allows me to see the original look of my Black iPad Mini, yet offers great protection from scratches that Apple devices are known for. At the same time, I can use my smart cover at the same time. I know that buying both a back cover and the smart cover are expensive, but there are times when I don't need the smart cover and want to be able to remove it while still protecting the back. Folios don't give me that option and can make the iPad a little more cumbersome to use in my opinion. This cover snaps on the iPad with minimal effort and hasn't cracked yet, like some other back covers I have purchased from Belkin for my other iPads. Also, the cover fits snuggly enough that dust does not get in between the cover and the iPad. It offers some additional protection towards the top of the iPad Mini, but not so much at the bottom edge, presumably because of the dual speakers the iPad Mini has. Additionally, this cover adds a little extra thickness, which I don't mind to much because the iPad mini at time feels a little too thin, if one can believe that. So now my iPad feels much more comfortable to hold. Overall, I would recommend this cover after 2 months of usage. It so far has been pretty durable, does not scratch much and for the price, offers reasonable protection.
