For $240 (on sale), I wasn't expecting the Taj Mahal of TVs, but Android TV runs terribly slow - they put what feels like the processor that goes in a flip phone into this TV. The software design is terrible - for example, I can't cast to the TV in standby mode IF you use Ethernet - you must be connected with WiFi to cast to the TV in standby. On top of that, after turning the TV off, you are unable to cast to the TV until it has been restarted by holding the power-button or digging into the settings, which defeats the purpose of Chromecast. Overall, had I known this prior to the purchase, I probably wouldn't have gotten this. Due to the extended return time, I'll keep the TV for a couple more weeks and see whether or not I can cope with these issues.

Posted .Justin, As long as the connecting phone and tv are on the same network casting should be available. In regards to not waking up when casting, please ensure that wake on LAN is turned on in the settings. Please perform a factory reset on the television by going to Settings>Device Preferences>Reset. The television will then shut off and after coming back on will prompt you to set up the TV like when it was just out of box. The Smart TV capability means we can ditch the streaming sticks for what we want and use it with the wireless connection only. Big, beautiful, bright picture, looks great, works great, and the price was right.

Picture quality exceeded my expectations! And is nicer then my 65 inch tv which was much more expensive. The smart functions are real easy to use! I would recommend this tv for sure!

For the price it has great quality. While there are TV's out there that are better, non have this quality per dollar. I suggest buying this right away.

Great under $300 bucks

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For less than $280 dollars this tv is great, can u really complain about a 55" 4k...ish tv for that cheap? bought this to put in my bedroom currently have a real 55" 4k from samsung in my living room that cost $1,300 years ago on sale. this replaced my old 1080p 3D Vizio P series which clearly has a much better range of colors and contrast than this Hisense and that vizio is about 8 years old it is now in my daughters bedroom.

Put the in my kids rooms and I have one hardwired to internet and one wireless. My daughter's have been streaming Disney plus since we got them. No issues with pictures. Great bang for the buck.

Great visual quality, sound is pretty good and options are many. Learning curve can be a little tricky but if they own an android phone, they can use the television set with no problem.
