    Cheap - getting what you pay for - buzzing noise

    My boyfriend purchased this TV for our bedroom, and admittedly I'm usually the type to shy away from "cheap"/"discount" TV options, so I will try to not be too critical, but this TV is VERY CLEARLY a budget option in its picture and operations. Pros: *Price *Android iOS + Google store access (huge app library) Cons: *It is a stretch in my opinion to call this a "4k" tv. The picture quality compared to even standard 4k options from Sony/Samsung/etc is clearly lacking. The picture overall lacks depth and colors are either faded or exaggerated based on settings, I find it hard to find a middle ground. *There is a HORRIBLY ANNOYING buzzing sound that comes from the TV (think of a dog whistle or a malfunctioning hotel mini-fridge) when the TV backlight is set anywhere above middle range. Either you accept the TV at low brightness which isn't suitable for any room with windows or lots of light reflection, or you crank the volume up to overcome the very distracting buzzing *The processing chip on this TV is very obviously not suited to handle Android iOS, let alone its own brand-specific menu functions - (my guess is it is a cell phone chip retrofitted for use in the TV to save money). Simple tasks like pushing the TV menu button to access display controls and the sleep timer take many seconds for each click to register. If you get impatient it (as I do with this incredibly slow TV) you end up 3 clicks deep when you only meant to advance one. The TV also regularly freezes up to the point where the remote will no longer function and a force reset of the TV from the physical power button is necessary. Trust me, its annoying even for a budget TV. All in all, if you are looking for a super cheap TV, say for a college student's dorm or a spare bedroom used only for guests, this wouldnt be a terrible option. But for a regular use TV in your home, I would greatly encourage you to spend 100-200$ more and get a TV from a reputable brand name.

    This television has been glitchy since a few months after purchase. The screen randomly dims while I'm in the middle of playing my Nintendo Switch. The remote control doesn't work consistently so I have to often let the TV turn off on it's own. We called customer service for both Hisense and Best Buy and received very little help.

    I was looking for a smart TV because I don’t watch cable TV! This tv has a great amount of apps, easy to use and set up. It is also a lot bigger than expected, but the perfect size for my living room

    I got it cuz it went on sale for 240 otherwise woulda bought lg or samsung but is okay quality for price a little slow on reaction from remote and volume control and basically everything else when i surf on netflix or youtube but again for the price it was okay.

    Great sound. Don't even need a soundbar for this TV. I find myself never turning it up past 20 and that's to load on most shows or movies. For the price the screen is great and it's an android tv.

    To begin with after collecting my TV I saw that it lived up to my expectations. Clear view and phenomenal sound. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone who is considering buying a TV.

    After careful review, I decided for the $ I would go ahead and purchase this t.v. on sale. Excellent picture/sound. We don't have high speed internet, so don't use internet features.

    It is a cheap TV, the image is good but is terrible its wifi, the WiFi is disconnecting always, with Ethernet is excellent

    This is an awesome TV. It does so much, has a huge amount of apps and you can download more apps if you like. Sound and picture is great! has a voice activated remote.

    Great tv for the price! At $300, I couldn’t be happier! I’ve had this tv for 2 years now, no real issues. Yes, it’s not a high end display, but for the casual viewer and streamer it’s plenty good. Make sure to have a soundbar though, as with most tv’s these days, the soundbar is needed. Also, there isn’t much memory on the smart tv features, so make sure you have a 4K streaming stick of some kind. It filled up pretty quickly with just a few apps.

    so now I'm stuck with it. The TV is nice enough but it's the Android OS which is the problem. It's slow, it's cumbersome, it's non-intuitive and I find myself grinding my teeth even though I'm not wearing my dentures. DO NOT get the Android version of this set!!! It's a nightmare. Get the Roku version. I now wish I had. Roku is a much better OS that you can depend on.

Please perform a factory reset on the television by going to Settings>Device Preferences>Reset. The television will then shut off and after coming back on will prompt you to set up the TV like when it was just out of box.     This TV was not clear at all. The picture was dull-like and seemed less than a 2160p. We changed the HD cord, updated cable box to a HD box to see if it would be clearer, but it wasn't, so we returned it. I found out later that this tv was an entry level model. I've heard others say that Hisense was a good TV, but that wasn't my experience. It may have been the TV itself or it may be the model. I just didn't want to take a chance with another one.
