Even though I am an OLED owner and fan I'm not a pixel peeper. All I want out of a TV is no blooming, light bleed and a decent operating system. For the money the Hisense H9F delivers on two out of those two requirements brilliantly. It's the 3rd area where it falls short, I honestly could not live with the Roku Operating system. It felt shoved into the TV and like it was never part of the experience.
I never felt like I was ever able to really get this TV's picture to set properly and when I did find a setting that I liked there was no apply to all inputs function so I had to change things depending on the input and content I was watching.
4K and 1080p content looked gorgeous, the blacks were deep with normal LCD black crush but it wasn't out of control. I checked movies like Harry Potter, Gravity, Casino, Dark Knight and I did not see any bloom or black bar bleed.
Where the TV really failed was playing upscaled and HDR Content from my 4K Player. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get a decent picture dialed in. I watched a few 4K UHD movies on my Panasonic UB820 where almost everything I've thrown at it usually displays beautifully. On this TV, everything I tried looked really terrible.
Don't get me wrong it's a pretty solid TV and I think 90 percent of people buying this TV will be perfectly happy with it, but I have a perfectly fine B7 OLED so I honestly, so I really wanted something that would "wow" me and I think the Roku and poor HDR really ruined the experience for me and couldn't justify keeping it. If I didn't have the OLED I probably could have lived with it at this price point.

I have had this tv for several weeks. All I can say is "wow!"
The picture is great. I was surprised at how good the off angle viewing is on this tv. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a new tv and when the hisense went on sale for $799, I went for it.
The H9F has a center leg design that is very stable and is perfect for my smaller tv stand.
I would highly recommend this tv to anyone.

Quality of 4k picture is fantastic in light or dark rooms. Android menu system is very easy to use as I am familiar with android on my phone and NVIDIA shield. Highly recommend. I tested my screen initially when got and seems to have no issues. With $100 off the price at the time it was a great price for quality. colors and brightness is amazing. my family have all loved watching tv and movies on it.

Very high quality built, and with the best picture I've seen for the price. If you've got the hardware to put on this screen the picture will blow your mind. I am a previous owner of Hisense and I believe it is a very good. I Strongly recommended it.

Amazing TV. Upgraded from a TCL 55in to this and it did not disappoint. The color and 4k are amazing. If there was one thing that I had to learn the hard way is that Android TV sucks compared to Roku. The lag and glitchiness of it is unbearable. I had to buy a roku stick because I couldnt stand it anymore.

Best Budget 4K TV Available

This is, hands down, the best budget, flagship TV on the market. I 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a budget upgrade and it's better than the TCL 6 series.
Highlights:
120hz panel handles motion well, especially sports
This set can get bright enough for a living room area
Colors are vivid and lifelike (with one downside)
The TV looks and feels premium, and with the bezel being extremely thin
Center stand allows the TV to pop, and appear bigger
HDR and DV look great, and this picture quality
No apparent DSE (dirty screen effect), so panels seem to be made well
Contrast ratio is outstanding
Good as a PC monitor
Can run at 120hz with gaming consoles (Xbox One X with correct settings)
Cons:
Colors are on the warmer side (can correct with some calibration though)
Upscaling cable quality sources could be better
Longevity remains to be seen
Convulted picture settings menus to set for each input
Panel lottery is a real thing, even though I got lucky
Remote is bigger than it needs to be
Processor is a bit slower than you might think
At the end of the day, if overall picture quality is your end goal without spending over $1000, this is your best choice. The few quirks you get used to quickly, and the picture quality is so good.
Wholeheartedly recommended.

Could be a Great TV

Second time I purchase this TV. first time was through Amazon and ended up returning it because of dirty Screen Effect (DSE). Because I liked the picture quality and the Android interface, I decided to give it another shot through Bestbuy hoping to win the 'Panel Lottery". Alas, the DSE is even worse than the first TV. The other thing, is this TV is not a true 120 Hz. It will accept a 120 HZ signal but will render a 60 Hz, which IMHO is false advertising from Hisense. It's either a 120 Hz or not! It's like buying a 6 cylinder car but you only get traction from 4 cylinders cause the other two are disabled or not even present. Now I am contemplating the possibility to return it and get something else. Too bad, this TV has so much potential but fails on what makes s TV great. Taking two stars because of DSE and false 120 Hz.

I did a ton of research before deciding on this little known TV. You'll find it's touted as one of the best values for the money. It will compete with the big names like the 950F, Q80 etc.
Is it perfect? No, Some people have noted a "dirty screen effect" and slight yellow tinge around the edges in blank screen tests. If you want to pick apart a $900 TV like that you're going to expect things like this, and they're never visible while watching. I'm not sure how many people stare at a blank white screen all day and get upset over minor imperfections.
If you're reading this review, then trust me when I say you've stumbled onto the best no-name TV you've ever found. Check out some other reviews as well, but this is the best kept secret in TV's right now.

This TV has a very nice picture but I returned it because the Android TV interface was very clunky and unrefined. It was missing most apps I'm used to on my Roku smart TV. At such a high price you expect it to work well

We purchased this TV to replace our Samsung 55" that died only 18 mos after purchase. The quality of the picture and the features are far better than our previous TV. Love the android on this TV as well, as I've been able to easily load all my streaming apps which helped me to eliminate our Fire TV box.

Great value, great picture, but slow system. I think it is a worthy tradeoff. The TV was fast for first couple months, but got slower as we added more apps. Turn on the developer mode and limit number of background apps.
