Good for $, needs a FIRMware update.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently purchased this TV a week ago. There are some good things, there are some not so great things. The good.... Picture quality, Overall, very good, seems to be some backlight edge bleed through when nothing is showing on screen (Say, at first boot up), but it is not apparent when anything IS on screen, colors are strong, nicely saturated when using the vivid settings. Not witnessing any issues with tearing/banding/bright and dark spots. Price, really, when this thing is on sale you can get it with a 5 year warranty for *under* the price of the next cheapest 75" 4K TV. No brainer, seriously. The Bad. Input lag....REALLY REALLY bad input lag, like probably a full on second or better when I hit my Roku buttons and then hear the corresponding sound that lets me know it's been processed and happening. Not sure if this is also part of the issues with the ARC sound (more to follow). This would make this TV virtually impossible to use for gaming. ARC Channel is flaky at best. Took it home, hooked it up with ARC channel between this and my 3 year old ARC enabled Pioneer SC-87. (NO HDCP 2.2 :( ) Worked until I turned the TV off, then sound from the streaming apps from the ROKU skipped and dropped out constantly. Tried trouble shooting by using the built in apps on the TV and ARC worked ok til I turned the TV off again, now I can't even turn on ARC at all, the option is completely grayed out in settings. Had to drop down to optical. Optical output for sound is VERY low, I used to be able to listen on my old TV at settings on the DVR of around -28 db, I now have to crank my AVR to reference settings to hear the TV through my home theater. Flaky settings. I have gone in and set things up like the ARC/ some picture settings etc, only to turn on the TV and find they automatically reset themselves to default. CEC settings in particular. I have them set to not control, hit the button on my Roku and it turns my TV on and OFF regardless of the CEC control settings. *Sigh* I really think this TV could be a lot better with a good firmware update to cut out all the garbage. Hopefully the folks at Hisense will read this review and do this TV a solid and improve it's lag/ARC/Audio performance. I'd love this TV if everything it had just WORKED like it's supposed to, unfortunately, seems like nothing works like it's supposed to in this day and age. IF everything just worked, I'd give this TV a solid 4 stars, but in its current state, 3 is right on. Perhaps if you have a HDCP 2.2 compliant receiver most of these issues would disappear, but you should be able to use a new TV with a 3 year old, 2 thousand dollar receiver sans issue. For gaming? Don't even think about it.

Great picture, but some defects
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this on Black Friday. Picture looks amazing especially Netflix videos with Dolby vision support. TV is stylish with fairly small silver bezels. The main issue I have is that I have 3 large specks on the bottom area of the screen. It looks like stuck pixels but it seems more like the back light LEDs doesn't turn off. In normal viewing it's hardly noticeable but when a dark image pops up, you notice it. I'm contemplating returning to the store for exchange but am afraid I'll get one with larger spots.

new but was missing parts lol
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ive noticed the frame rate is aot faster in games and watching tv on this with that being said, 75 inches is enormous and most old things arent going to be crisp because technology has changed so much first problem i had was the tv came with no leg stands. how do you forgot to put that in the box? i messaged forum support with no reply second problem is even if you get the legs, you gotta realize this is to wide to fit on most entertainment stands my entertainment stand had a mountaing bracket on the back. so i put it on there. unfortunately the tv is 80 pounds. (the stand can take up to 150). what this means is the swivel tilt on the mountain bracket will lean forwards like this / the weight is just simply to much for the bracket. youll have to wedge some blocks of wood under the tv to keep it straight because no matte rhow much you tighten the mounting bracket its just way to heavy. i wouldnt suggest hanging this on the wall if your a amateur due to weight. next problem. i use a insignia roku tv for my security cameras, which is near this tv. well how was i to know that insignia uses the same remote control sensor as hisense? when i turn one tv on the other turns off, when i turn sound on one the other turns off. so that can be annoying other then that the tv is pretty cool. i connected with the internet and the tv was loaded with tons of crap ill never need, so i factory resetted and got rid of all that junk and didnt install wifi. i dont need my tv to be a computer spying on me with google and alexa and listening to me the picture youll have to change the dimensions alot, and the colors. im still getting use to this hdr stuff. i use a antenna for basic tv so its as good as it can get. ive only had iit about 3 days. im a gamer and even though i dont have a 4k gaming system, it still seems to improve graphics in games and make them faster for the price this was worth it. old stations will be fuzzier, newer shows will be alot more crisp the only reason i gave this a average rating was because of the issues i said above. the tv seems great so far. but i know ill be on the phone for the next month trying to get new legs for my tv. also tax is nearly 100$ so put that in your budget

Good tv for the money but not for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a huge tv for the money. It's good while viewing straight. I have a huge room and noticed the viewing angle is pretty bad. I couldn't live with it so I upgraded to a Samsung Q6. Cant wait to see the difference I would recommend if viewing is straight on and the room is a normal size.you cant be at the price. If you have a huge room you'll need to spend more to have a better a better experience.

Decent tv for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the tv for over a year now. About 6 months in the sound went out but was able to hook a Bluetooth sound bar to it and use as a quick fix. The screen size and picture are great.

Lip Movement to Sound Lag Too Annoying
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I already own a 50" Hisense and for the money its pretty good, no complaints. Recently bought this 75 inch and for the money, $1,000, it came with 120mr, blue tooth, HDR, 3 HDMI's and a voice activated remote. I thought the picture was great, sound was the best of any flat screen I have and I own Samsung and Visio. Setting the TV with the remote is a little clumsy but, OK and it works. Now the problem, the Lips to Sound sinc is off on certain channels. Went to Best Buy and bought a new HDMI cable. The guy said try using Netflix or a movie app and if it doesn't do it, it must be the Verizon Fios cable box. Try another box in the house. Got home, tried the new HDMI, no luck. Chatted with Hisense and they had me reboot the TV, no luck. Tonight I took the box in another room that has a brand new Samsung hooked up to is and hooked that one up to the Hisense. No luck. Called Hisense, he had me move the HDMI from port 2 to 1 and checked some settings, no luck. I failed to mention that although I didn't call Verizon, I ran the diagnostics on my boxes with no issues. After talking to the representative, he told me the TV shouldn't be doing this and had to raise my issue to a Level 2. Someone would call me within 48 hours to determine next steps. Next steps would have been to have someone come look at it, maybe fix it or give me another TV. After spending 6 hours trouble shooting, going to Best Buy and being on the phone.....my wife helps me to undo the TV and put it back in the box! It's going back to Best Buy tomorrow before the 15 days is up after they delivered to my house. It's ashame but, I have not had this issue with any TV I have purchased in the past so I didn't want to deal with it anymore!

Needs some work/Could be a nice TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I REALLY wanted to like this TV. A loaded 75" 4k tv for $1000 is an incredible price. I was coming from a Vizio 70" 4K and admittedly am something of a tv fanatic. While there is alot to like/love about this tv, like very nice picture, great looks, price, warranty, etc, unfortunately the amount of quirks and things not working like they should outweigh the positives for me so I am returning the set. I definitely agree with the other reviewer that IF Hisense were/are able to fix all the issues with an update, the set would be great. First really annoying issue is the unit does not remember the input being used so every day it says "low/no signal" and you have to go back and hit the input even though it is already on that input. Next, the Amazon app is NOT included or part of the apps for this tv! HUH? It supports Amazon Alexa and Google Voice but does not have the Amazon App? 3rd issue is intermittent sound and picture issues like audio being waaay behind the picture and the picture freezing and restarting out of nowhere? Lastly, there is LITERALLY no information available about the specs of the TV and no one, including Hisense ,seems to be able to provide those answers or details....??? The included manual is very generic and gives no details for videophiles such as how many dimming zones there are and what is the brightness rating? I greatly realize I may be asking too much out of a $1000 75" tv, but I have a 65" Hisense tv and we LOVE it and it has NONE of these issues and HAS the Amazon app. Admittedly, I did figure out how to sideload the Amazon app and other workarounds but just kept thinking I shouldn't have to be doing this. In summary, I may live to regret returning the unit as it has the POTENTIAL to be a very nice tv and bargain for the price if all the issues are able to be fixed with updates. If you know and are willing to accept for the price there will be quirks, you may very well have the last laugh.
