I chose this device over Alexa. Alexa had been out for 3 years and and had great features but I felt that Google would provide a better product over time. I use almost all of the current features including controlling my Hue Lights, and Nest Thermostat. It also is greate for my music and shopping lists. Setting timers for cooking has also been really easy and helpful. Though I'd say playing a game of madlibs with some friends is quite funny. Though it can be frustrating when a feature isn't available yet, I really look forward to seeing what other features will be added. I purchased this when the device was one week old.

It's an excellent product and recognizes the voice very well. The only two gripes that I have with it is, it has very limited integrations and lack of external Bluetooth speaker support

It is great having google nearby. I use it for many things including phone numbers, names of people, places, movies, definitions, etc. Even have her sing "Happy Birthday."

Love the Google home. Only thing I wish I could do is be able to unplug it without it shutting off like the Alexa does. But still love it with my Google Pixel phone

I received Google Home as a Christmas gift and I absolutely love it. The set up was super easy and my son loves asking it questions. I would definitely recommend this product.

A lot of room for improvements and updates. Set up took less than 10 minutes. It will also integrate with your smart devices at home. I like it and am eager to see what more it can do.

Love to listen to music when in the kitchen and kids love the to ask random questions. Keeps guests entertained. Still haven't used it to its complete ability. Someday soon

It does answer more questions than Alexa, I got it for voice home control with my ISY. I've been using it for other things as well. :) Love it so far, can only get better!

I also have the Amazon Echo Tap but it was very difficult to setup. I was willing to give Google a try. Their connection to Hue and Nest was way better than Amazons. Easy to use device

Responds quickly to my voice and has many great features. I like to play trivia games with it. I also bought the Phillips hue lights and control my lights with the google home

Just lay in bed and gave commands. Turn on turn off what’s the how much where can I and many more questions. Wish it could make my bed.

The difference in sound between the Home and the Mini is surprising. I would not have expected as much bass out of it as I got.

My family members enjoy being able to play music from this device and ask for information at any time. It is used frequently.

This is a bit of an incomplete review as I haven't been able to fully explore its features (this was purchased in anticipating of "smart homing" the house I'm moving into in about three weeks). For now, I use it primarily to inquire about the weather, and I can do so from two rooms away. This microphone is absolutely scary in its sensitivity. I can breathe "hey Google" in a whisper from 20 feet away, and it responds! With its compatibility to other products growing regularly and Google Assistant maturing more and more, Home has a lot of potential and is worth the $130 investment--provided Google really commits long-term to developing it.

Setup was easy and integration with my existing Logitech Harmony Hub was a breeze using IFTTT. Looking to more custom integrations as the product matures. Great start Google.

Great for listening to music and podcasts! Also super useful for checking the weather, news, etc.

very good sound quality and reasonable bass + with google assistant makes it wonderful smart speaker , brought it during a good deal

I got this as a gift and purchased another for my mother! She is enjoying it as much as my family is, we spent hours asking her questions and playing music. Great item !

Let me start by saying I love this gadget, but at this time, still prefer my Echo device for home automation. With that said, I purchased the Google Home at Best Buy for my wife to use mainly for music and to also help her with tasks, appointments and google calendar. This device excels in deciphering your speech and translating it into useful commands & searches. Google's music library is good too! My daughter likes animation songs which are readily available where other services did not have them in their libraries. Overall, the Google Home continues to be very impressive and is used daily by every member in our household.

Products too is overall good, but still not quite as capable as the Echo. If what you need is music, basic news and weather it's great, but it's app integration is too Google-focused.
