I bought this as a bundle with the Phillips Hue starter kit. The biggest surprise is how decent the speakers are for listening to music. Has decent bass response for such a little speaker. Controlling smart lights is fun but limiting as I can't tell it to switch to a certain color mode like tropical which is a default in the hue app. Isn't able to answer quite a few questions I have thrown at it which is somewhat disappointing but am sure Google will keep adding features and better support over time. Since the bundle I got made this device $30 I can't complain but if I paid full price not sure I would keep it as my phone assistant can do the same exact things and its always on me instead of stuck to one room in the house.

Negatives-Tells me "I don't know how to answer that" way too often. Also when I ask it to play a certain song it plays some other song from the google play store. Positives-Good for asking about the weather though. The sounds quality from that tiny speaker is quite amazing.

Gave it 4 stars more for potential than actual use today. You can ask it a question and it often figures out what you are asking and increasingly offers a reasonable answer. Better at this than Echo. However, everything else is worse. Sound, connection to free music library, home automation, and plug ins favor Amazon Echo. I like them both.

Works great has a little better sound than the mini.

I prefer google over Alexa any day. The google search engine is so powerful and is used by almost everyone worldwide. Android smartphones use google voice as the voice command. This google home really combines all the goodness into one small home package. Be sure your apps are linked with google to have maximum compatibility.

Have been a fan of google for a long time so I decided to try the google home assistant instead of Alexa. So far I am pretty happy with it but I am looking forward to improvements/upgrades. I think as time goes by and google updates its capabilities it will be a great product. Just seems kind of limited on what it can do so far.

What to give the Grandparents that have everything? A Google Home! They love asking questions about the states their Grandchildren are in going to college, what our current weather report is and any other thing that pops in their mind. It’s been hours of entertainment for them.....they love it!

Easy to use and configure but still lacks connection to know Google searches & data you would expect the systems to talk to each other. Google home still has a way to go to be at the same level as the Amazon Echo.

Would buy it again. It's a great product. Good price
