Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the Shiatsu Deluxe Neck and Shoulder Massager with Heat for its effectiveness in pain relief and relaxation, with many praising the heat feature. They also appreciate its ease of use and massage options. However, some users find it to be too intense or heavy, and a few mention inconvenience due to the corded design.

After a long day work, this product will give you a very comfortable deep tissue neck massage. The heat feature is just the right amount heat to your skin and will auto shut off within 15 mins. There's is a speed adjustment but imo the slowest speed is optimal massage. The handles gives you all the control of pressure by pulling down on your shoulders. Warning! The massage may feel a little uncomfortable in the beginning especially if your shoulder/neck muscles are tense. I primarily use it laying down adjusting in the right position. Works for me!

I have arthritis in my neck and it causes headaches. The massaging action will, most times, get rid of the headache and the pain in my neck. (The actual pain in my neck not the figurative pains in my neck.)

    Glad I Purchased

Glad I purchased this. Great for neck and shoulder blade pain. It is a little clumsy, but effective once it is placed. You can easily adjust it up and down the back, diagonally if you wish by pulling on or adjusting your grip on the hand held 'slings'. You can also lean back against it if you are in a chair or couch. I hesitated purchase at first because the arm slings looked so long and unwieldy but they are not as long as it appears in the picture. You can see the oval power switch on the middle of the right side of the picture. The length of the sling is only 13 inches from the top of the control to the bottom of the sling. So it is not unwieldly from that standpoint. I am 5'4" and husband is 5'10" and massager is comfortable for both. This is a shiatsu, going deeper, not a mild vibration. The heat element is very mild , so do not purchase for that element of it. You do need to reach a little to make adjustments on the power switch (like the heat or to reverse the massage direction). On that note, the reversal of the massage direction is also nice. You can definitely tell the difference when using the direction change, and one may be preferable to the other at any given time.

This is really nice, heated massagers that massage in two different directions. The downside of this product is, it has to be at the right angle otherwise it is really uncomfortable in the base of the skull area. Good as a personal massager. Downside, automatic shutoff after 15 minutes and the instructions emphasize not to use it longer than 15 minutes at a time.

I go to the chiropractor once a month and get regular massages. That can get pricey, so I invested in this guy. First off the box was fairly small, out the box the hardware that goes on your neck is quite large but after using it I see why. The range in motion is tremendous in feel. Please the instructions first. Putting it on can be cumbersome but once you get a hang of it, it'll happen quicker. May art it up and enjoy. I let it work on my upper neck all the way to my back. Improper use but oh well. After 8/9 mins I feel good. If you go longer be prepared to be sore. If you are using it on an area that's already sore this won't help but hurt more. Ice up that area, get rid of the soreness And then use this a few minutes at a time with breaks.

this is a good product that doesn't kill your budget. it gives both a massage and heat. it is worth the extra money to get both. My husband enjoyed my gift. I already recommended it to a co-worker!

It could be an advantage of disadvantage since you control the pressure with your hands, specially for some zones in the back. But in general ist a great product.

The extra cost is worth having the longer straps to help apply pressure to the upper back and neck area. the heat is definitely nice to have and the speed has three different levels so you can choose how you want the massage. also there's a reverse function so it can massage in the opposite direction as well

Works much better than expected-having 3 speeds is nice- the lower speed really provides a deep massage on the neck and shoulders and you can feel the heat which i recommend. Easy to use right out of the box.

Vigorous Massager for Neck and Shoulders

Works well to relax muscles. Heavier than what I prefer. Unlike the back massager (also HoMedics) this is not battery powered/rechargeable. Awkward to use: need extension cord to reach the nearest outlet. And must put arms thru to secure. Vigorous massage.

I purchased this because Brookstone closed all their stores and I wanted a few more for gifts. Although perhaps slightly bulkier than the Brookstone model, it is fantastic. This is not a massager for the faint of heart. I originally purchased the Brookstone model because the complaints and reviews were that it was very harsh. Awesome! That’s what I wanted. People forget that you can adjust the strength by pulling on the straps. As soon as it goes back on sale, I will get a few more. The Best Buy price is by far the cheapest.

Got this item for my wife. She’s always complaining about back and shoulder pain so I decided to buy this for her. She absolutely loves it. The only thing she doesn’t like about it is that it automatically shuts off on you after 15 min. of use and that you have to be near a wall outlet and plugged in order to use. That’s the only reason it didn’t get the 5th star. Other than that, great product.

This massager came in hand post surgery. Being able to comfortably position the massager and let it work out the soreness and knots with heat and level controls was priceless. Homedics is a trusted brand. This is better than the hand held ones.

My brother had bought an expensive one of these at the state fair that I loved but didn't want to pay that much. So, I ordered this one and OMGosh it works just as well. Happy camper! I even use it under my feet and it's awesome.

AHHHHMAZING!!!! I have had a knot and tension in my neck for 2 weeks and this made me feel so much better... hurt like heck the first time I used it because I was so sore, but once I figured out to adjust the pressure using the arms it was perfect ... after 2 uses the knots and tension were going away... I try to use it at least once a day to keep any issues away

The massager is very cumbersome and a bit heavy - if you want to use it on your neck, you have to keep your arms in the strap or it will not stay in place. It does have a few speeds, but the intensity is really controlled by how hard you pull down on the straps. The first time I used it, it bruised my upper back. If you are interested in the heating element, this is not the unit for you, the only reason I was sure the heat was on was because of the lights that come on in the unit. The control panel in on the strap making it almost impossible to adjust the settings while using it. All it in all it is mediocre to disappointing.
