The PC was not as fast as I expected it to be; so I added a solid state hard drive and bought software to manage the drives and to move the OS ti the SSD. Not happy about frequent reminders to use HP management application, which actually slows down the computer. Hard to find the windows Ink pen for this computer. Heavy computer, but should have the ability to turn it into a tablet configuration.

The large-screen, backlit keyboard, hard drive space, and memory all made this a great package. I had it up and running and hooked to my WiFi within 10 minutes. It is also very lightweight for the large screen size. The battery capacity allows me to run several hours unplugged. Overall just a fantastic laptop.

The computer gives you speed, computing power & a great picture for a very moderate price. I am very pleased with my new computer. If you remove a little of the bloatware that comes preloaded on it, it really flies...

Nice computer, pretty fast. The cd drive is picky and doesn't always lock in place the first time you push it in but, that's really the only negative I've found. This is a good desktop replacement...it's big and heavy so it's not really meant for toting around. Perfect for me though.

Great customer service, the Geek Squad helped us set up the computer, email, Facebook, etc., and answered many questions we had to get started, They helped us load Web Root on our new computer, as well as our older computers, and remove the old virus protection from our old computers.

Good laptop with a lot of ram and DVD drive. The size makes it take up a lot of counter space. Lots of ports (Ethernet and so on) and features for its price point.Also, the laptop is pretty sleek for its size. The touch screen has not given me any problems as I feared a touch screen laptop would. Its battery life is...eh.

So glade I purchased HP Envy laptop. I'm in love with my new computer . The size is wonderful and is a plus for students because they all can see the monitor when showing or sharing educational material related to class subjects.

and excellent laptop pc with all the needed aps and is easy to use and is fast. Only draw back is it is a little on the heavy side but is still worth the extra weight.

Plenty of memory and fairly quick. Would like it to be a little quicker but is sufficient for what I use it for. Still trying to learn all the options on the machine ,overall happy with purchase

This laptop is excellent. It has everything you need for speed, a graphics card and even a built in DVD drive. Definitely glad I made this purchase.

My relationship with HP goes back to the late 50's. Unfortunately my tech savvy has not grown in pace with their technical development but their support structure along with the highly qualified folks (I call them 'kids') at Best Buy and my access to Geek Squad (also kids) I can do anything I want to with this equipment. Even if they don't understand why I would want to do that to start with! The neat thing is, and I guess the real point of this review, I never have to think the problems I get myself into have anything to do with the Hardware. The laptop is flawless. And if it's anything like all the other stuff I've bought from Best Buy it'll probably stay that way for years.

Everything is great about this laptop. It has everything I wanted, speed, graphics card and built in DVD. Perfect for everything I need it to do.

normally i like to research my options, but when i was at work my laptop died and i needed another real fast. so i hurried down to best buy,knowing i wanted a 17" with the capability to play dvd's and there were only about 4-5 choices. i chose this one in spite of the price and have been very pleased, much better than my old one. so much so, in fact, that before throwing my old one, i tried turning it on one last time and here it was still working. i decided to keep it for a back up because i like this new one so much better, 5 stars.

My wife works from home as a writer and the screen is the perfect size, as is the keyboard, which is actually more important. The keyboard is very quiet, and the buttons have rubbed off pretty quickly on her favorite keys but otherwise no complaints. Battery life is fantastic. Screen is touch sensitive. Touchpad required a lot of fiddling to be how she wanted it, but she figured it out.

Good value for what I paid, easy installation. The gal at the service desk actually loaded my van for me....talk about great service!

The Envy laptop is very easy to use I like the fact that I can use it with a wireless mouse as well as by touching the screen

This laptop does everything I need and quickly. The touch screen is a quick and helpful tool a added bonus I did not expect .

Purchased this item to replace a returned ASUS laptop that gave me nothing but grief. I didn't give it 5 stars because I haven't had a chance to use it a lot.

It is a great product, fast and smooth, signing in to windows was pretty instantaneous, no waiting, very impressive

I would recommend for purchase. Good price for features and quality. We have purchased a dozen for our office.
