I bought a printer from Best by two years ago and mechanical issue and I was passed my return time. I had to throw it out. Lost my money. So I put a spending limit on buying a printer and I saw this one and I saw the good reviews and I bought it and I love it. It takes a little while to get it set up, but once it’s set up, it works great. It’s a Wi-Fi. So I have to connect the printer to the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to my laptop. I hooked it up to my MacBook Pro and then I come into an issue. How do I print? Command plus P. I was going to the library to print, but sometimes the library is closed and then the gas in the mileage and the time. I was tired of doing that, this printer was within my spending limit. It looks nice in my office also. So far, I’m very happy with it. But I think it’ll be good.

Pros: Inexpensive. (Was $50, but got it for $40 during 'Black Friday Sale.) HP brand ink is stocked by most stores. Wireless. Has a separate 'Black' Vs. 'Color' print button. Came with a 2 yrs. warranty, not 1 yr. Came with 4 months of Instant Ink subscription. Cancel anytime.
Cons: In spite of HP claiming that there's a 'swing out' extension for the output tray, there isn't. So, your printed material falls on the floor. Only uses HP ink. Included starter ink cartridge didn't last long. Had to wait a few days for Instant Ink to arrive by mail. (It came from the East Coast.) To scan, must download their HP Smart App. (This was not explained in their Ref Guide.) Recommend opt out of HP Universal Print / A.I. because it slows down the printing process.

I get it. HP and other printer manufacturers want to make extended profit by selling the ink. And HP Instant Ink makes it seem almost painless. But, the inkjet cartriges are painfully low on ink. I got about 15 full page images out of my color cartrige. That seems to be a little light in my opinion.
As long as your expectations are set and you can live with them, then this printer is a pretty good deal. I had a very specific need so for me it was worth it.
But, it you plan on printing photos regularly, I would look for a reservoir based printer instead of a cartrige based one.

The sale price was great. A very nice printer for the money. Set up was relatively easy, but does require going online. BW print quality is very good. Have not done color yet.
The BIG negative with this printer is that HP now requires that only thier expensive ink be used. Chips in the cartridges and in the printer check and the printer refuses to function if third party ink is used. With the light duty I anticipate with the printer not that big of a deal, but if you are anticipating heavy usage you may want to look elsewhere.

When figuring the printer out at first, it was confusing. I say this, because I followed every step, I did what the instructions said, only for it NOT to print the normal way. If I try to print from the printer itself, it doesn't work, but if you use smart printing, it works like a charm. "Smart printing" should be an option when you get the print screen. Other than that, this thing works great, no issues getting it connected to wifi, no issues putting in the ink, or loading the paper. Everything works as it should. Hopefully others find this review along the way, because when I tried to look it up, none of what was suggested, helped.

The printer is perfect for our needs. My wife does work at home and need not print at work via the net or she can, at work, print at home for reference later. Easy to set up as well.

I don't have internet or wifi in my area, but with this printer i can transfer from my files and also make regular copies. I can also, copy from my photos.
The down side is on the color it takes alot for like one photo? Also, it kinda takes a long time to make a copy. About a minute or longer.
Also, I wish they would of provided a better instruction manual. That would be better than u-tube videos.

This HP printer works great and was very easy to set up. The wireless connection is smooth, and I can print easily from my phone and computer. Print quality is clear and sharp for my documents... It’s fast, reliable, and perfect for home use. Ink is easy to replace and lasts well. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable printer.

Good print quality, great price. A little slow, but that's expected considering the cost. I do miss the double-sided printing feature of my old printer. I spent nearly two hours on the phone with an HP tech to get it working, but he problem was with my laptop, not the printer. I paid for it but the tech did clear up the problems.

I love it, so easy to use. I get great results with this printer. The printed pages are clear, well colored and looks like a photograph. The HP team is also amazing! I am now set up with the never run out of ink feature. I love that too. They will be sending me ink and paper for a very small fee. I love this so glad I got it.
