Misinformed

It whistles, wobbles, with way back usb ports
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm keeping this Envy All-In-One 27 because it has some good features that other all-in-ones aren't better at. It looks fantastic, and I really like the pop-up camera/mic on the top of the monitor (instead of always exposed at the bottom). But it has flaws that almost made me return it, and I would have returned it if there was a different all-in-one that was clearly better. First, it whistles incessantly. Only a faint fan noise, but at just the wrong high pitch that penetrates everything including my skull. (I consulted with HP, and they said the usual: Update the BIOS, change the power plan -- nothing altered the noise.) I'm fashioning baffles out of boxes to cover the back of the computer where the noise comes out, but that rather destroys the sleek look. Problem 2: The monitor wobbles (on its single support pole) when typing -- and I have a very sturdy desk. Problem 3: All USB ports are on the back, none on the side or front. Using a memory stick is a pain. Problem 4: There is no wire management cover at the back of base, so the necessary wires such as the power cord etc destroy the sleek look. Despite the problems, I'm keeping it. Too bad it's now on sale, only two weeks after I bought it... sigh.

Expensive

When you dim the monitor it does not dim, no tilt function for comfort of viewing. Takes a lot of real estate on the desk. Finally anyone looking to buy windows pc they are not updating windows defender properly, so even with awesome anti-virus software suite you must proceede with caution.

screen and sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i recently purchased this computer the screen is clearer then my TV and has great sound. It's extremely responsive, starts up fast, the touchscreen is convenient, I would have given this computer five stars if only the monitor was detachable and were able to be mounte. I also have had problems with the keyboard.

Should have known better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Returning to store 3 hours after purchase. System locked up during setup, I let that one go, then locked up 3 more times and one blue screen of death all within a few hours. Taking it back and getting a Mac like I should have in the first place.
