This is a really good printer. I don't need to use it much but it definitely meets my expectations. Small enough to keep on my desk. I am not sure that I will use the 6 month if instant ink but. I am very happy with this product

Good printer very easy setup and performs wireless from anywhere

I needed to replace the printer in my shop after my old HP 6L finally died. I needed a small printer to fit the space I had available and this printer fit the need. It took a couple of tries to set up the WiFi, but once done it has worked fine. This printer gets minimal use with only a few pages printed a month so I hope it last as long as my old 4L.

If you just need to print in black and white, this is a good machine. It does nothing else, but it does print well. You don't need to worry about the high price of ink or the ink drying out with inkjet printers. Supports wireless printing and AirPrint and Android printing as well.

HP has clearly decided to create this printer as a Trojan horse for a subscription service. What that's done is led them to develop sub-par software, an always-connected requirement, and a strong-arm subscription approach that renders the printer unusable without it. This is not disclosed when you purchase the unit. In terms of performance, HP's software is really bad. I've never found an IT troubleshooting problem I can't solve, but this one came close, as the wireless connectivity of the unit is finicky and it goes offline frequently, with the only recourse being physically resetting the unit. When I did get it to work, print jobs were substantially sub-par, with paper that was fed into the machine straight, coming out askew (text slanted on page). This is not user error; it is a problem with the feed mechanism in the printer. In short, not only is this going back on the second day, but it's caused me to place a moratorium for my company on all HP equipment.

I wish I’d gotten a laser printer sooner! This is great. It’s a lot smaller than the laser printers I have at work, and it’s even smaller than my old HP 1000 inkjet printer (which I loved). This only prints in black and white but that’s really all I need. I was scared the cartridges would be expensive but the ones for this printer are under $50 and print exponentially more pages than an inkjet. I was bummed that it didn’t print duplex but I discovered that it actually can print double sided if you’re willing to take the half-printed pages out and feed them in again, which really isn’t that much of a hassle. Set up was really easy. My MacBook Air had no trouble connecting to it as well as my Dell PC. I like that you can print via Wi-Fi. This is a really solid printer if you just need to print black and white and don’t need scanning or color. It’s got a small footprint and is economical. I highly recommend it!

I love this humble little HP printer! It’s like a well-trained pony. It promptly does everything I expect:) It doesn’t mind that I like to save paper by giving it pages that already have writing on one side. And Best Buy really is the BEST. Their GEEK SQUAD deserves the ABCD award: Above & Beyond the Call of Duty!!!
