I was looking for a small, dependable all-in-one printer …. This didn’t disappoint! It was promptly delivered. I had no problem getting it set up and connected to WIFI. Its been wonderfully working.

The HP LaserJet MFP M140W is essentially an all-in-one laser printer. It prints, scans, and copies. What more could you want. The printer literally comes is packed in a see-through plastic bag so that the user/buyer can easily extract the printer from its cardboard shipping box without doing it any harm. This printer comes with its electrical power cord and an introductory toner cartridge to start you off on your way. There is a pictorial insert that takes the user from A to Z on the set up of the printer. 1st off, be careful to look for all the removable orange tapes that have been applied to keep all the moveable parts in place, even the inside cavity where the toner cartridge is located. Also, the toner cartridge must have the orange plastic ends removed and the orange pull-cord so that ink can then be released. Most of all, it is incumbent that the buyer of all HP printer/scanner products download the HP Smart app for either their Android or Apple smartphone. On the home page of that app, there will be an option to "add a device" and that takes you through all the items to get this unit operational, even getting you hooked up to your Wi-Fi network and ready for printing. Be aware that you must use a 2.4 GHZ network for Wi-Fi set up, I have 2 networks-the 2.4 and 5.0. So, I have used all the printer functions, and so far I am satisfied with its abilities. I have printed, no problem. I have copied, no problem. I have scanned and that function, for me, took the most time to get setup and learn. I downloaded the HP Smart app on both my phone and desktop computer. Microsoft also has a scanning app that you can download for that function. I think that both will consistently work when initiating the scan function from either your phone or Desktop, and there are buttons on top of the printer that has these functions. The only reason that I did not give this printer 5 stars is because I really like an auto doc feeder, ADF, for ease of use and freedom from being tethered or near the machine vs. have to pick up the cover, place the item to be scanned on the flatbed, and then put the cover down. I am lazy, perhaps and an ADF takes care of a lot of that. In conclusion, I do recommend the purchase of this printer. First, it performs numerous functions in one unit, second, it has a small footprint and can be a "secondary" laser-type printer vs. either an inkjet type or larger laser type that requires more room. This printer does not have a high-volume capacity like the bigger ones that I use in my CPA practice during tax season for printing my long and complex returns, but for the smaller jobs it will suffice because it can print 21ppm using a toner cartridge. I do not know how many pages the introductory toner produces that came with this unit, but going forward it uses toner 141A that the box says has a 950-page range. Cartridges can be pricey, and I have not yet priced this one.

I really like my new HP Laser Jet M140 printer. I am not very knowledgeable with technology, but it was easy to set up and works well for my home needs. I have wanted a laser printer for several years, but in the past, the cost has deterred me from purchasing one. The M140 w was exactly what I needed, and it's saving me from having to buy ink jet cartridges multiple times a year. This laser printer should save me a lot of money in the years to come!

Love this printer! Not only excellent for what it is intended: quality printing and copying, but also for the ease of set up and space saving size. Better quality toner means less money in the long run than a printer with cheap ink cartridges that dry out too fast

This is a great little printer for personal use. Easy set up and easy to use. Had previous experience with HP and thought I would not buy another, however, the salesman assured me that this was the printer that would meet my needs and he was right Thank you to Best buy for providing expertice when everything appears to be the same.

Works great but I can't use the wifi because it requires 2.5 G. Really disappointed because I was hoping to print documents from my phone. However, it does a great job and I love that it's so small. My other printer was too big for my computer armoire. Good purchase.

The HP Lazer jet M140w is a reasonably priced printer and does a quality job. There is no feeder for copying but the print time is quick enough that copying 40 pages was not an issue, just a little more work. It's compact and does the job that I purchased it for

The printer works great!! I can hear it printing softly in the other room as i order pages/ documents. The print is clear. Its lightweight so moving its location is simple. So much easier to set up than an Epson printer!!

Simple, fast, quiet, perfect desk size. Very basic for my personal needs. Price was right too.

Bought a laser printer to replace our outdated ink printer. This is so much faster, although the lack of a true display means I have to look up what the blinking lights mean once in a blue moon. It's held up its wireless connection well, and we've had zero issues with it getting the print jobs done.

This is an excellent printer. It's compact, but gets the job done. Very easy to set up and makes crisp black and white copies.

This HP LaserJet M140W Wireless Black and White Laser Printer is exactly the same as the M140WE model except M140WE is a HP+ printer that comes with 6 months of Instant Ink and 2 years warranty. On the other hand, this M140W is not a HP+ printer and only comes with 1 year warranty. Hence lower price. This is a multifunction printer as it can print black & white forms and documents as well as scanning and copying documents. Note that this is the world's smallest multifunction laser printer in its class, it fits anywhere. Setting up the printer is very easy, just follow the included setup guide to prepare the printer before powering it up. Once powered up, install the hp smart app and use it to add the printer. During setup, hp smart android app found the printer quickly, you enter the wifi password and in no time the printer is ready and connected wirelessly to my wifi, however it only supports 2.4GHz wifi To print using computer, install the hp smart app from Microsoft Store and click add printer. The printer lets you print, copy and scan from computer as well as your phone using the HP Smart app. The print speed is fast, up to 21 black-and-white pages per minute single-sided. Copier Resolution up to 600 x 400 dot per inch (dpi) Printer Resolution up to 600 x 600 dot per inch The printer has a button for copying both sides of ID cards or small size document into same side of one sheet of paper, very easy to do. The printer comes with a starter ink toner cartridge. The print quality is excellent. The scanner is of a flat bed kind. It is a bit slow but very quiet. The scanned image is very good. Capable of scanning at 600dpi is more than enough. The printer does not need internet to print so it can still print even when internet is down. Despite its small size, the quality has not been compromised. Two things that I don't like, one is that this printer is intended to work only with toner cartridges with original HP chips and will block cartridges using non-HP chips. Periodic firmware updates will maintain the block, I wish I can use third party toner cartridges. Minus 2 stars. Secondly, this printer does not do automatic two-sided printing or duplex printing.

Printer was easy to connect to my existing HP desktop system and all functions work. Had no trouble with the delivery, Best Buy is usually very reliable and they were this time. Printer does not take up much space, but it does not print quickly. Print quality is very sharp and clear. Highly recommend.

The printer is easy to set up and works well. It prints documents quickly. The only con so far is that you need to use an application to interact with the printer (including scanning documents)... so it is a software driven user experience.

Best black and white laser printer. perfect size, robust printing and super easy setup

I have used this HP scanner/printer for several months now and am happy. Easy setup, reliable connection, no issue whatsover. The software that comes with it (for Windows), is a bit clumsy and slow even though my computer is high-end and fast.
