Printer is very good. Only complaint is that you need to download an app on your phone, connect to wifi, before it is completely set up. Otherwise, you can only a limited number of copies until you finish the setup.

This things requires being hooked up to the internet so the company can monitor what you print, when you print, and how much ink you have. Too intrusive for me, I returned it on principle

Only pros are it’s in stock and small. Doesn’t double side print and Best Buy doesn’t sell the toner. Hp wants you to sign up for their monthly subscription.

Brand response from HP Team
Posted .
Hi, Jack.
I’m sorry you’ve had a difficult start with your printer. I can wholly understand your disappointment, considering you’ve not found the two-sided printing feature you want, you can’t find the toner cartridges you need at Best Buy, and our printing plans might not be the best fit for you. I want to help you get the most from the device, however, so I’ll provide some resources and clarifying information I hope will reach that end.
First, while you’re correct that your printer lacks automated duplex printing, it does have a manual function that accommodates two-sided printing. I suggest you consult the section “Print From a Windows Computer” or “Print From a Mac Computer” (whichever applies) that you’ll find in the main user manual for this model on our support site here: - www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c07833316.pdf
Next, if Best Buy does not carry or is out of stock for the toner cartridges that fit your printer, a quick web search reveals that the HP Store, Amazon.com and Office Depot have them.
Finally, when you mention the monthly subscription, that’s our Instant Ink program. In this, you choose a plan based on the number of pages you would like to print monthly, and you are billed for ink on a monthly interval. Replacement cartridges are shipped as needed based on usage. However, if this program is not how you’d prefer to buy toner or ink, it’s optional, so you can buy cartridges from your preferred retailer instead.
If you need further assistance with anything, I suggest you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happening and find a solution. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number: - hp.com/plus-help

So far so good! Had nightmares with the cost of color printer ink. So glad to have a black and white only printer. Only bad part is the REQUIREMENT to download an HP app

Grea little printer/scanner. Only downside is there is no available way to actually connect to computer. Only wifi connection, so if you don't want that techy stuff, this isn't for you.

Took me a number of calls to HP's
Tech Center and a lot of patience on the part of the Tech Specialist but I am now up and running and very happy with my LaserJet printer.

Unreliable Wireless Feature

The printer is fine if the wireless works. However, the wireless is not reliable even when our wifi is strong. This has caused delays and many hours in trying to fix it. After six months, we had to buy a different printer. Disappointing product.

This is my first Laserjet printer for home. I was looking for both scan and laser printer and this perfectly fits in my budget and gives me no headaches on "drying of ink".

It prints well, but not as fast as I expected. The scanner does not work with the application. Therefore, i have to go to the printers and scanners and scan from there. It is a small nuisance, but it detracts a lot from my satisfaction.
