Quick & Easy set up. Printing speed is very fast for a small business. Occasional issue with document feeder, but overall, a great choice. Wait for a sale or price match.

HP - LaserJet Pro 4301fdw Wireless Color All-in-One Laser Printer HP’s newest laser printer is a wonderful reminder of those early classic, high reliability HP printers that made this company famous. It is reasonably compact, but very heavy, stuffed with features, and it displays a ruggedness and solidity like a premium printer should. If this LJ Pro 4301fdw has the quality of my original LJ, it should last a few decades. SETUP: The 4301fdw is fully assembled, including the installed standard size toner cartridges. All I had to do is pull off a couple dozen orange tape strips holding everything in place, plug in the power cord and load in some paper. Done. I connected to my Wi-Fi after selecting my language and following the sequence of prompts. The HP offered me the networks it found around me, directing me to select one and enter the network password. Done. I then found the printer using my photo App on my iPhone12 and printed out a few photos. Next, I opened up iMac PowerBook M1 and found the HP in my system printer list. After adding it, I found a project spreadsheet and printed it. Double-sided was easy to enable, and both sides were printed. Following that easy success, I moved on to Photos, changed the paper type to glossy photo, and printed some color photos. Easily done. The paper tray looks like it will handle a half-ream of paper, Changes to the printer parameters (paper type, size, surface, double sided) are all accomplished by the large, colorful LED menu screen that folds for convenient viewing. I also found I could sign into the printers web IP address for a more complete set of functions and to check toner levels. (Signing in requires the PIN number which is hidden under the front facing toner cartridge door.) With little effort, the HP printer was easily found on the network by any other computer or phone. There are ethernet, phone, and USB inputs/outputs on a back right panel. Other than testing the phone for a fax test, the other ports aren’t necessary yet, but they’re available. It’s the perfect printer in a small office setting. It will become the printing center, copying device, and fax machine. Scanning is also easy to accomplish after you download the HP Smart App and create an account. Everything works directly from my standard Apps such as Photo, Numbers, Photoshop Elements. Testing the auto-feed reinforced my perception that this iteration of LG’s premium Laser printer is high performance and built to precision tolerances. Reliable and smooth paper movement. I couldn’t determine the maximum number of pages, but I’m sure it’s not a large number. PERFORMANCE: This is a very quiet printer. This is a very fast printer, spitting out full color, full sized pages at BEST quality in mere seconds. The quality of photo printout far exceeds that of my previous laser printers. Generally, photo print-outs from laser printers don’t approach the color fidelity or contrast of an ink-jet printer. Laser printers are known for their speed, high volume usage, economy, and text printing quality. This HP LaserJet 4301 breaks the expectations and adds excellent color printing to its repertoire. Print paper quality makes a significant difference in print quality, so gloss paper makes photos looks their best. CONCERNS (potential): HP insists that only their toner cartridges can be used in HP printers. Whatever I may think about ink-jet refills, Laser Jets are more expensive and probably more exacting. For Laser printers, with a technology that relies on some level of compatibility and predictability between toner colors interacting with each other and the printer’s heating elements, I’m OK with the restrictions. That said, toner replacement is expensive, and for high volume users, you should make a point to purchase the “x”, high output, cartridges. They represent a significant savings, providing more than 3x the printing volume for less than 2x the price. SUMMARY: This is an exceptional LaserJet Color printer that will surprise you with its speed, quality output and range of features. It was the easiest printer to setup I’ve ever had. I was printing high quality output within minutes. Very impressed, HP.

The HP Color LaserJet Pro 4301fdw is a compact workgroup printer ideal for handling print tasks for up to 10 end clients. It's well-suited for small businesses or teams, functioning as a versatile resource with its multifunction capabilities – printer, copier, fax, and scanner. A standout feature is the ability to copy and scan directly to email, enhancing its practicality. One notable aspect is the WiFi antenna's effectiveness, addressing common issues with wireless printers. I found that it maintains a strong connection even 15 to 20 feet away from the access point, surpassing my previous printer that required a closer proximity. Setting up the printer was straightforward, requiring a few input selections. Once connected to the internet, it automatically downloaded and installed the latest update, streamlining the setup process. Discussing printer consumables, this model utilizes a four-toner cartridge color set. The yields are impressive, with approximately 1800 prints per color and 2000 for black. The cost per toner is reasonable, especially when buying a four-pack or opting for high-yield cartridges, making it a cost-effective choice over time. As a daily printer for nearly two weeks while working from home, I've been impressed with the fast print speed and excellent color quality. There's no delay in printing over WiFi, even with larger print sizes. This is a significant improvement compared to my previous experiences. With 25 years of working with HP printers, I appreciate the advancements in their technology. The Color LaserJet Pro 4301fdw offers affordability, particularly for a small business workgroup printer. While slightly pricier than consumer models, its specifications make it an excellent investment for those who print frequently or run a business from home. In summary, my overall opinion of the HP Color LaserJet Pro 4301fdw is highly positive. It's a reliable and efficient choice for those in need of a small business workgroup printer with enhanced specifications.

The HP LaserJet Pro 4301fdw is an amazing printer! Setup was quick, and it’s been running smoothly ever since. The print quality is excellent—crisp, clear, and professional-looking every time. I’ve been using regular copy paper and haven’t had a single jam. It handles everyday tasks effortlessly and feels very reliable. Definitely one of the best laser printers I’ve owned. Highly recommend for home office or small business use!

I recently purchased the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdw, and it has exceeded all my expectations. The setup was straightforward, and I was up and running in no time. The print quality is outstanding, with both text and graphics appearing crisp and clear. The speed is remarkable, churning out pages quickly, which is a huge plus for my business needs. The single-pass auto-duplexing ADF is a game-changer for scanning and copying documents efficiently. The connectivity options are plentiful, allowing me to print from various devices seamlessly. Despite its robust feature set, it's compact enough not to take over my workspace. While the running costs are something to consider, the quality and performance make it a worthwhile investment for any small to midsize office. I highly recommend the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdw to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality printer.

Easy installation and set-up. Little heavy and need to be placed on solid office table. Will need to purchase second tray for legal size papers. The tray with unit does not hold a lot of paper. Overall quality printing is excellent. The printer comes with all the laser color cartridge supplies. You will find them already installed inside the printer. The cartridges are pricey, and you will need to purchase a backup supply. So far, I have not found the cartridges combined in one package. You will have to buy them individually.

Ideal All-In-One Printer for the Home Office

I have used HP printers for almost 20 years and have two HP LaserJet printers at home. What really makes the difference with the LaserJet Pro 4301fdw is the fact this is really the fact this is the "Swiss Army knife" for your home office. It excels as a printer and additionally delivers the ability to copy and scan documents, print from USB flash drives, send a fax and print wirelessly from phones, tablets or computers. It's also really fast when printing, delivering up to 35 pages per minute. Setup was completed very quickly from the touchscreen and the small keyboard on that screen was impressively designed, inputting a complex Wi-Fi password was much easier than I expected on such as small screen. HP has really focused on the user experience and the design of the user interface on that screen makes it really easy to figure out how to do each task. I doubt you'll really need to open the manual. Ascetically, I wasn't sold initially on the blue coloring but once it was placed in the home office, I have to say that I really like the added color compared to our other HP LaserJet. If you're looking for an all in one printer scanner solution, look no further. You won't be disappointed!

Simple to set up, fast first page printing, scanning a 2 sided document was so quick I sat and waited for it because I didn’t believe it was done. Quiet printing with excellent clarity and good color matching. Worth the cost.

I love this printer. I’m an independent contractor and needed a good printer setup for home. I had an epson ecotank but it just was not the professional quality I needed. This was an exceptional upgrade. The printer is fast and has great color output. It was a snap to set up and after a month I’ve had zero issues. It is a workhorse and probably “too much printer” for a home office. Haven’t used all of the features yet but I know it will be great.

I’ve been using Brother printers for a long time, thinking they’re the best. Boy was I wrong. HP is a much better quality printer. This one in particular is amazing. It’s pretty compact and pretty light as far as Color Laserjets go. It is blistering fast to print and has no delay whatsoever after receiving a print job. Color is crisp and clear. Much, much better than what I’m used to from Brother. Very, very happy with my purchase.

I love it. I was going from an inkjet. The printer is very fast and very quiet. I use the feeder frequently and it has been problem free. I use photo paper and card stock paper frequently. I havent had to take extra steps to switch between papers. I bought a second printer to have one upstairs and downstairs. I havent had to replace the toner yet. That looks like it may be expensive.

So far very happy with this printer used in a home office. Upgraded from the HP 3390 multi-function printer that I paid twice as much for back in the day. It served us well for 20 years but was time to upgrade. It still printed but scanning was flaky and the fax no longer worked (not that we can even use that since we don't have a landline.) Setup was mildly involved but HP provides plenty of instructions and YouTube videos. Using it wirelessly, which adds great convenience over the 3390. I can now put it anywhere I have a power outlet although I have it placed in the same location as the old 3390. Having color available in laser is great although I'm not looking forward to toner cost. I will be looking to use 3rd party cartridges. Quieter than my old 3390 and seems faster. Both printers had duplex function but this one works much better. More compact than the 3390. And much cleaner packaging although a neutral white would be preferred over the blue accent. Highly recommended based on initial use. Hope it holds up as well as the old 3390.

We looked for a printer for about 8 or 9 months. It needed to be wireless and have scan, fax, print, multiple user id, laser and color. This printer has it all. Its fast enough not to have to wait along time to print because the item you are printing is to large. It has a large monthly print cycle. It prints from our phones quickly Wifi. Whatever you print comes out great! No regrets buying it, this printer deserved to have a review done on it. You will love it, especially the easy, very easy setup. Good luck! I hope this review helps others!!

5 Star for now, been 1 month since purchased. Setup was easy using the hp smart app. Everything is working as advertised. Love the duplex copy feature. This is replacing an MFP M277. This is a workhorse and faster than my old one. Colors look good, black text looks crisp. Scanning is a breeze and I like the new look. Prints Envelopes good also.
