This has built-in duplex and an optional "third" paper tray so is the natural replacement. I am very satisfied.

They are little workhorses. They are a bit pricier than the Brother's we used to buy but they are lasting much longer. Toner is on the expensive side, but again, they last.

This printer frequently stops, requiring me to power-off / power back on and then the page I need will print. Also, my needs require continuous single pages, but I've found I have to be very slow in printing "print now" and wait for previous page to completely print. Not terribly happy with this.
