HP is a good brand. My previous printer model #8710 was better in quality. This one is a little too plastic. I have to be more careful with this one.

It's a nice value printer. I needed one for virtual schooling. I've only had it for a couple month so I'm not able to review it's longevity.

It does everything clear & quickly. I wish it had 2-2 side printing. But over all I like the top load feature & speed. The ink program is great!

Works fine now. At first it was giving a bunch of issues to where I had to call HP and stay on the phone with them to figure out.

Always offline, inks ran out very quick and so expensive to replace.

      Hi, DeeDee.

I’m sorry that your printer has gone offline so frequently, and that the ink cartridges ran out before you expected. I can certainly understand why that would be a frustrating combination. I want to help you resolve these issues, so I’ll provide some clarifying information and suggest some resources aimed at reaching that end.

First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including printer-offline difficulties. You can find that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/help/printer

Next, I can’t tell from your review how many pages you’ve gotten per set of cartridges or how that compares with their estimated page yields. That said, I’ll point out that some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less still than ones in our Instant Ink program. If you’ve used only the cartridges that came with the printer, this could explain what you’re seeing.

If you’ve installed replacement cartridges, the XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 825 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 300 to 315 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

Regardless, if you have further questions about ink use or believe a problem exists – or the offline issue persists – I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

The only thing I don't like is the print tray. My previous printer opened the print tray automatically and I have to open this one manually.

Have been using this printer since November and haven't encountered any problems. Purchased because I owned an HP since the eighties and it finally died. Thought I would give HP a try again.

Replaced an HP for thus one! The extra ink you have to sign up online and tgey send you once a month and i think you have to cancel after 8 months or subscription continues with charges...

Purchased this upgraded model to replace one damaged by a child. Has more functions and is faster than the old one. Have always had good luck with HP printers so we opted for another one.

Set up was decent, but print quality especially with color prints leaves a bit to be desired, drinks ink like a fish too! Not that impressed overall

If your primary use for this is for office use, and your office doesn't deal with printing photos, then this could work well. It can take a minute to wake up, and it doesn't exactly print all that quickly. Scanning can be a little tricky if there's too much paper; ink consumption seems to be able average. I feel photos come out looking a bit too digitized and not all that clear. I would stick to Kodak products for photo printing

Nice printer. Optional stack loader for copying multiple pages. It does what it is suppose to do and the instant ink program is worth the small fee.

I purchased this printer for my home as we are all working from home now. The base is very flimsy and thin. The paper tray is short so all of the paper curves as they are printed. I could not adjust the paper tray setting to 8" x 11" paper because the lever is too flimsy and would not move, but it still printed that size. Sometimes a document I print would have words that are faded. No idea why the quality is off, but I just returned it to BB.

Easy to setup and link to my wifi. I really like the HP ink monitoring, I have already recd a full set of cartridges and still have six months more free ink. It's quite a deal.
