I go this unit to replace one from another brand that I'd had for a few years. That unit was enormous. It had pretty much all of the same functions as this HP, but in a much larger frame. I've used it for a little over a week now and I am very pleased with this. The app works great for printing from mobile devices and my Windows based PC's have an app that works with it too. It even plays nicely with my Apple devices. For a while I had stayed away from HP products because they were complicate to setup, I had problems using them with my Apple devices and the ink was so expensive. All of those problems seemed to be resolved with their newer products. The Instant Ink program saves 50% off the price of ink and its monitored and ordered automatically after setting it up. The printing is fast and clean and the scanning is great with selectable options within the setup menu. The one thing I had a problem with is when the device is inactive for a period of time, and then I wanted to print something, the printer would be shown as offline. I did a Google search and changed some of the settings and it now wakes up to print. This is a great machine that has a small footprint and is ideal for home offices or college students alike. I would definitely recommend this.

HP's have got to be one of the worst printers that are not Mac friendly. I signed up on a friend's request for their I stand ink subscription. But had to reset the printer twice now in a month.

Scan function does not work with Mac!!!!

The Smart app that HP uses to control the printer does not play well with Mac. The scan function shows your item has scanned and allows you to save it as a pdf where ever you want. But when you go to open that file it is blank. HP support says it is a Mac issue but I disagree because I tried the old scan app that came with my HP8600 that I have used for years and it worked fine. So their Smart (stupid) app is not compatible with Mac. BEWARE

I have gone through two of these printers in the past 2 months while sheltering in place. After continuous paper jamming, they finally stopped working. This printer is a mess! I used an HP 8610 for years and it was a workhorse. The 9015 is not designed for the home business if you need a reliable printer, which I do. Save your money and your time when you have to return it. Pity!

Not too bad. It takes forever to print anything out. Half the time my phone will not read it even if its on the same wifi. Prints good and does it from wifi. The slowness and dropping of my wifi is very annoying.

I've have it for years, and honestly it just sits on the shelf because I don't know how to throw it away. It's costly and ineffective in doing it's job. I would always get a fake paper jam and be unable to use it for months at a time. There is minimal help in resolving this issue, I wish I just returned it when I was still able to instead of "being patient" and being pushed to all sorts of departments by help service only to not have my problem with the printer resolve at the end of the day. I will not recommend this printer to anyone, because of how difficult it is to use.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has been so difficult for you. I can understand why, as a Mac OS user, seeing only instructions for Windows would be frustrating, so I’ll offer some resources and information that I hope will help.

First, I recommend you look through several troubleshooting guides specific to Mac OS and iOS that you can find on our support site related to connectivity and printing issues.

If the problem persists, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can guide you through the proper troubleshooting. I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

I purchased this for my home office. It constantly freezes. The paper tray is cheap plastic and won't stay adjusted for paper size. The paper feed picks up multiple pieces of paper. The unit will not scan from the document feeder. Dealing with HP customer service is a nightmare. I had an HP before and was unhappy with it. I allowed the Best Buy consultant to convince me they have improved. Terrible decision.
