High quality printing with iffy build quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-in One is the latest in HP's line of small office/home office all-in-ones tied to their ink subscription service. The scanning and print/copy quality are amazingly good and the overall speed is also impressive but the build quality on their products is definitely taking a back seat. The product arrived very well packed and the unboxing experience was good, I was able to get everything set up and powered up in a matter of minutes. But it was during that task that I began to really notice that the construction seemed flimsy. Everything seems to be made of very thin and delicate plastic. The scanner cover flexes when you open it and will drop quickly if you don't get it raised all the way. The provided ink cartridges are separates (which I greatly prefer) but you can't help but notice how everything kind of flexes as you insert the individual cartridges. There is some sort of spring retention mechanism but it doesn't feel very solid either. Once assembled you are confronted with your next challenge - locating and installing (or updating) the HP app on your smartphone. It took me over an hour to get the app properly loaded so that the printer could grab the wireless parameters from the phone and join my WiFi network. Now the good news - once everything is ready the printing and scanning quality are amazing! In our first real-world test the copy of a test document looked better than the original! The scanner is a bit noisy when it runs but I'm willing to overlook that given the results. Accessing and using the features from my phone or laptop was relatively straight forward and speedy. To be honest, there are still features that I am learning to use but I feel like the product meets or exceeds its promises. Although I have chosen not to participate in HP's automatic ink renewal program I do think it may interest certain users with it's sheer convenience. In summary - great performance, feature rich, but with uncertain durability. It deserves a look.

Office quality at home
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer gives me the flexibility to print on the go from anywhere. I am reviewing based on daily usage in a small home business office. In the box is the printer, ink cartridges (4), and power cable. Setup is quick and easy, and wireless connection to the internet was seamless. If wireless isn't right for you, there are other connection options (USB, ethernet, USB B), however you will need to provide your own cable. There is also a companion app that you will need to download. To set up, power on, load the ink, connect to network, install app, and ready to go. It takes about 5 minutes to be up and running. One thing I like about this printer is the ink cartridge carriage has a spring system, so just push into place until the cartridge locks in, no more wasting time ensuring the ink is seated in place and aligned properly. This printer offers office level convenience, I can print directly from my cell phone, use the wireless direct feature, or email my document to the printer so I have it printed when I return. There is a feature called "Smart Tasks" which gives me options to digitize my notes, save to cloud, print my photos, or file my receipts. This is in addition to all of the standard expected features - double sided print, photo printing, high resolution, print, scan, fax. Overall I'm impressed, this printer is perfect for on demand printing from anywhere you may go.

Excellent Office Printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup is easy, just take out of the box, remove a bit of tape, plug it in, insert the cartridges, insert paper, let it do a print alignment and then everything else can be done from the HP Smart app on your phone. I already have an HP printer so the app was able to transfer my wifi settings automatically which is excellent. Then you’ll set up your HP+ and Instant Ink subscription. For PC or Mac, you do need to add the printer using the HP Smart app to get things like the scanner to work properly, rather than letting the OS add the printer through its printer settings. I’ve been using HP’s subscription ink for a while now (three years actually) and I love it. Gone are the days of running to the store when the ink runs out, which for me ALWAYS happened when I needed to print something very important. The way it works is HP will send you the ink in advance in exchange for small monthly fee for an allotment of pages. That’s it. You can use as much or as little of the ink as needed. The only downside is if you cancel the subscription the ink ceases to work and you must return the cartridges. I don’t print much (a little more in this past year with COVID and homeschooling) but I have probably saved hundreds of dollars by not having to buy ink cartridges every 4-5 months. The HP Smart app is also something I’ve been using for a while. It is available for both desktop and mobile. It is my go-to app for printing anything from my phone or tablet. On PC and Mac it's much easier to print a 4x6 or 5x7 photo properly without worrying about paper sizes or color accuracy settings than from the default photo apps Windows and macOS come with. There’s a Print Anywhere feature that allows you to also send something to print even when you’re away from your home or office and even a “private pickup” feature that will only queue the print up until you return. The automatic document feeder is the main reason I wanted this printer. I’m ready to get rid of my paper clutter and being able to load a stack of papers and let it scan the front and back sides of the stack automatically into a PDF is a real time saver. Using the HP Smart app you can also create a searchable pdf which is great for someone like me who wants to digitize their paper files. Printing itself is very fast for an inkjet printer and the quality is top-notch. I was able to print out several diagrams that I needed for work which were very busy with small fonts and very small, dotted lines and the text was crisp and clear to read. Photo printing is exceptional for an office class printer. However, there is only one paper tray, it would have been really nice to include a photo tray alongside the paper tray. The only real downside I saw while testing this printer was that while copying black and white documents produced an identical image, color copying was lacking where very light grays in my test diagrams were not picked up at all by the scanner and thus were not visible in the copy the machine produced. I did not test the fax because I did not have anyone to actually fax, and my work provides me with an email to fax service anyways. However, you do get a similar feature from HP which allows you to send faxes without a phone line. It’s part of the advanced smart app features for which you get free for 24 months. Pros: All-in-One: Print/Copy/Scan/Fax Advanced HP Smart Features 6 months of Instant Ink No need to ever buy ink! Print Anywhere Feature Automatic Document Feeder Scan directly to cloud/usb Double-Sided Printer and Scanner Fast Printing Speeds and Great Photo Prints 2-year warranty Cons: It’s a bit big for home but fits right into office. Color copying could be more accurate Wish it had a photo tray Overall this is an excellent printer that really hits all the bells and whistles you could want in an office printer.

Broken less than a month after warrantee expired
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My $250 HP 9015 printer started saying "paper jam" but there was no paper jammed. While looking in the compartment to find the jam, I saw a small white gear broken in half laying at the bottom. The warrantee expired 2 weeks ago and the printer barely gets used; this gear shouldn't have broken. Waste of $250, will never by another HP again.

Takes productivity to the next level
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 is an attractive printer with a small footprint which makes it suitable for the office or home. It performs all of the basic functions the you would expect ie: print, scan, copy and fax, plus a lot more. The HP Smart app now has Smart Tasks. This allows you to create customizable shortcuts to print or scan from any device and immediately send that document to any email or saved to the cloud service of your choice, including Drop Box, One Drive, Google Docs, Box, QuickBooks and more. You can camera scan from your phone, then edit the document and have it sent immediately to any of the above destinations. You can print from anywhere there is a cell signal or wifi. Print photos from My Photos or online from Facebook and Instagram. Set up was quick and easy. It prints a fast 22 ppm black and 18 ppm color. The print quality is excellent with crisp clear images and accurate color. The paper tray holds 250 sheets and the output tray can hold up to 60 pages. There is an automatic document feeder which is also very fast and accurate. It uses 4 ink cartridges (#962), 3 color and 1 black and is also HP Instant Ink compatible. I have been using Instant Ink for the past 2 years on my OfficeJet 8720 and have been very happy with the service. The digital display is small, but extremely clear and you can adjust the brightness as well as the angle of the screen. It also has Quick Forms built in, which will allow you to quickly print a calendar, fax cover sheets, graph and notebook paper, music sheets, games and checklists. The Smart app will also tell you how much ink you have left in each cartridge, and how much paper and the type of paper you have left in your paper tray. The printer is designed to work with Google Assistant, Alexa and Apple iBeacon, however, at the time of this review, that feature is not yet functional. In summary, this is the best printer I have ever owned. It is extremely customizable for your particular needs and the print quality is excellent. I would highly recommend this printer.

Do it all solution for the office
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't tried an all in one printer in years, the scan feature never worked well and they didn't seem to any one thing all that well. I need a new printer for my office and wanted to give an all in one another so I could cut down on space. This HP is exactly what I needed and should fit just about any small business office need. It's incredibly easy to set up, comes with a ton of ink and looks great. Setup was a breeze through the HP app and within minutes I was printing from my iPhone and MacBook. What really impressed me was the scanner. Having the ability to scan multiple pages at once through the top feeder is huge for me. It still has a flatbed to make copies and scans but the top feeder works best for me. The flatbed will come in handy for odd shaped items like credit cards and receipts. Printing in color and black and white both look amazing as well. I was really surprised by this printer and might order more for the office and for some employees that are working from home.

Posted .Hi there,
I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't receive the proper instructions. I also understand how disappointing it must've been when you weren't able to reach our support team. This is not at all the customer experience we're committed to delivering, so I regret that we fell short. To that end, I'd like to make sure we address this for you.
First, here are all the resources you'll need for your printer:
- User Guide: hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06220009.pdf
- Reference Guide: hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06219612.pdf
- Printer Control Panel and Menu Guide: support.hp.com/document/c06213798
I would also like to clarify that the OfficeJet Pro 9015 belongs to a family of printers called the OfficeJet Pro 9010 series. With that said, often times the print collateral will read '9010'. For more information about this, you can visit this link: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03770424
I hope this helps and again, my sincerest apologies.

Used to be great printers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used HP inkjets for years, and for the most part, very little in the way of problems. Now the Pro 9015e. First, it's put together with recycled parts. It's wireless only. It says there is a cable you can use, just try to find one. When you press print, it has to think about it for a while before it starts. Leaving me wondering if it's going to print or is something wrong EVERY time. And it sounds like it's Jed Clampett's truck when it does get to moving the carriage and printing. Very distracting. Set up was not without problems, but eventually successful. The saving grace is that the print quality is still top notch. If I had it all to do over again, I'd really be looking elsewhere brand wise. Sorry HP.

Great MFC Printer for Small office
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e is a new small businesses or home office inkjet MFC printer with an ADF, Fax, Scanner and Copying built in. This printer comes with HP+ HP's smart printing system that comes with 6 months of free Instant Ink and a 2 year extended HP warranty. The printer uses 4 cartridges (1 each: cyan, magenta, yellow, black) Hp has made this more affordable with HP+ and Instant Ink subscriptions you can print high volumes at an affordable price and get the first 6 months free! I have instant Ink on my other HP printer and have never run out of ink or gone over quota. I was skeptical when I first tried it out but it has been a big cost saver and very convenient with the ink delivered by mail to me when the printer reports to HP you are getting low. I immediately signed up for Instant Ink on this Printer. Installation is easy just download the full App/Driver from HP and install on your computer. Connection is easy, you can use Ethernet, USB or a WiFi connection. You can set up an account and choose to buy ink on you own or to subscribe to the Instant Ink program. The App works well with well designed apps for scanning, faxing, copying. One thing to note there are no drivers for Windows Server 2012, 2016 or 2019 so you cant just set it up in you print server and connect to it from each office computer. You will either have to install the driver for each windows or mac workstation and use Windows or IOS apps for Scanning and Faxing or install the HP app to use their native apps and advanced features. You can just install the full App driver package from the HP download site on each computer. In an office where you need most computers to print you can install just the drivers and reserve the app installation for just the computers that need to do scanning, faxing ect. I really don’t like that HP does not have server drivers or at least a driver deployment script. If you are using this for a small office that does not use a server or a home office it is just fine. Once I had the drivers set up on all 12 computers in my office everything worked fine. You can configure the printer for remote printing through an email address and printing directly from an Iphone, Ipad or Android mobile device with the Hp printing app available in the Apple Appstore or Google Play store. Apple AirPrint, HP ePrint, Mopria Print Service, wireless direct printing are supported. You can also print from a USB drive. The fax is has been well thought out and has settings for POTS, VOIP or SIP phone lines! This is very useful as a lot of homes and businesses use digital phone service making standard hard fax almost impossible to use. This allows you to have a Fax without a fax service. HP includes Fax forwarding to email and storage to network devices. This device allows you to send color fax to compatible devices. Supported Resolutions are 200 x 200 dpi, 203 x 196 dpi, 203 x 98 dpi, 300 x 300 dpi. Fax storage is good with total memory capacity of100 pages. You can set up the printer to fax directly from a PC. The Fax allows 99 speed dialing numbers Other notable features are Distinctive Ring Detection, auto reduction, automatic redialing, color faxing, delayed sending, fax forwarding and a junk fax barrier. Scanning has always been great with HP devices and this unit is no different. You can use the HP app or Native Windows or Apple App or other scanning software with no issues. Scans are fast and great resolution. You can scan from the ADF or scanner bed. Ouput can be cropped or enhaced in the Hp app and output in many formats including PDF. Color copying is great, as with most ink jets the output is beautiful. Maximum copying speed is 21 ppm (mono) at up to 600 x 600 dpi (mono) and 15 ppm (color) at up to 600 x 600 dpi (color). Duplexing is available. Scaling range is 25% to 400% of original. You can copy up to 99 pages at a time. So the print output is great up to 1200 x 1200 dpi mono and up to 4800 x 1200 dpi color at 22 ppm mono or 18 ppm color. Automatic Duplexing is supported. Inkjet output is much better than color laser in my opinion. Needless to say this is a well built full featured color inkjet printer with a well developed App. If you need a MFC printer that will do the Job for your Small to medium sized business or Home designed for moderate to heavy use this is a great choice.

Smart Little Baby
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A printer that delivers what it promises for an at home use. Great for someone like me that needs a wonderful desktop printer with multiple capabilities without over the top extras I'll never use. I use print, scan, copy and use it from phone & desktop computer, HP Office Jet Pro 9015e. While my son enjoys the fast print mode, I prefer the quieter print mode. The double sided printing is a luxury. Love it! The negative part of this Smart Little Baby is noise it makes when it starts up. I suppose its all the plastic hardware in it and the thinner wall casings since my last HP Printer. Something the HP engineers can put on the fix table for their next model. I'll be watching if you listened!!!
